Why are there more unemployment youth in Nigeria?

This is a brilliant question that most of our leaders would fail to answer. Nigeria is a blessed country in all ramification. But the cause of this mass unemployment is traced back to the GENESIS (educational policy).

My sincere answer to such question is that the vocational jobs are not formaly enhanced and attractive!

Artisans are ridiculed as illiterates, identified as the unfortunate dullards who could not formally educated. And as a result the younger ones feel shy to apply. They feel ridiculed to be called carpenters, Masons, electricians, painters, mechanics, etc.

Artisanship is not attractive, not formaly developed, and neglected by our government. Unlike the advanced country who place more value on artisanship. In US, a carpenter earns more than a teacher.

All the above reasons contribute to mass unemployment in Nigeria, where most youth depend on government for their survival. No youth of today will ever accept any offer for apprenticeship simply because they thought they will not be relevant and value among their peer groups who fortunate to be graduates.

White Collar job is no more guarantee in this nation due to yearly products from our tertiary institutions. But it's unfortunate that many youth lose focus to see the express door to artisanship which is wide open.

The future of Nigeria is at stake. How could this anomaly be corrected? Please this is a major national issue and challenge. Nigeria is yearly producing graduates who are loitering the street empty hands. Should they continue like that?

Education matters most but nigerians' minds are polluted due to errroneous perspective attributed to handwork. Nigerians are desperate to get admission into university. A Nigerian can wait four years at home before admission which could have guaranteed him a better option of livelihood.

Dear Nigerians,
we need to discuss this issue to enlighten the mind of the youth.
Is University a must?
Does University certificate guarantee accomplishment?
How could this anomaly be corrected?

Please more comprehensive contributions from the matured and reasonable people. This may be your quota to save a future from perish.

Should we say more youth of today are lazy?

Should we admit civilization as the cause?

Most perilious aspect of our youth mindset is the rate at which they seek money rituals.
Greater percentage of nigerian youth today are running helter skelter for blood money ritual.
Some claimed Jesus and Allah have disappointed them. They remain jobless after 5yrs from university and ceaseless fasting and prayers throught the years for employment but all abortive.

Who to blame?
