Magic Bishop:@bold, do you even know how big Terminal 2 is CDG is a City, and airport with capacity for FIVE freaky RUNWAYS! You need to take a Mono-Rail from Terminal 2E to board your gate for departure at L,M,N, O! It takes you 15mins to drive round to park. As for your 3rd World nation comments, it shows if Nigeria was left with your type, we would never be better than Abu Dabi! No one country external is going to come make Nigeria a first tier nation. You start by providing next to nothing infrastructure, improving security, housing and building industries. Imagine the $$bn being kept in foreign banks as reserves and are being used by Western government to prop their economy, if We had visionary leaders, even from the excess crude proceeds, We can construct an airport better than even CDG2. |
Re: VIDEO: Lagos Airport 3D Render by OmoTier1(m): 10:38pm On Dec 21, 2013 |
Magic Bishop: How can I blame you. As I said earlier FG is wasting their time with that slum village Look you are wasting your time. Thank goodness you recognize Delta has an aerodrome! An airport that can barely handle an ATR72 is what you are comparing with MMIA? FYI, the Lekki Airport which is being modeled after standsted in operations only is by far an asset than that local shed in Asaba. You keep going on and on about Lagos, Tinubu. If only GEJ in the last 4 years He has been at the saddle has been able to grow Nigeria's economy the way those two men have grown Lagos economy in the last 10 years and more. Nigeria by now would be posting GDP of about $650bn and more, and We would not be talking about sheds of an airport like the one in the CGI. FYI, see check out the layout of CDGT2 .... classic

Since you know it all then advice your APC governor on what type of airport infrastructure will be adequate for your needs. I have nothing more to say to you. Ingrate! |
Re: VIDEO: Lagos Airport 3D Render by MagicBishop: 10:47pm On Dec 21, 2013 |
Since you have singled France's CDG airport why not compare every aspect of human endeavor between France and Nigeria. Olodo. Your cheap tricks has been long anticipated in this thread. |

Magic Bishop: Since you know it all then advice your APC governor on what type of airport infrastructure will be adequate for your needs.Abeg, see Pearson International Airport. This is what an airport should look like! These are the things we should see and demand our government do better. Whenever I fly into this airport, tears always fill my eyes because I see the beauty of human innovation, inspiration and doggedness. This airport as at when I visited there last this year is still undergoing construction and it has mono-rail that takes you from arrival to departure terminals. Another classic airport! Hehe.. learn to not settle for less! We have the money, we can do better and we should never be satisfied with mediocrity FYI, I have no allegiance to APC and I do not support APC as a party. My views on this forum may come as being sympathetic to APC, simply because most of the people they have as governors are performers, unlike the ones in your ogogoro ridden party

Magic Bishop: Since you have singled France's CDG airport why not compare every aspect of human endeavor between France and Nigeria.Haha... watch most of my post whenever you people post the nonsense of the MMIA remodeling, I always cite these two airports: CDGT2 and Pearson International in Toronto as something we should be clamoring for as a minimum. For a country that makes a minimum of $100bn in crude oil sales alone yearly, it is disgraceful that we cannot afford to put in place an airport that can serve us for the next 20 years. However, when it comes to building houses, I am sure the structure your GEJ and His megalomaniac wife put in place is of same pedestal as those you find in reclusive island in the Caribbean. When it comes to themselves, the know who how to make it looks like what is obtainable in the West but when it comes to what affects the average Nigerian, they scream we are a 3rd world country. |

As usual, he never disappoints Always yarning dust.. Anyway, good concept but they need to focus on other emerging cities. Lagos is crowded as it is, they should spread the wealth abeg... At least before this cesspit called Nigeria comes to an end. 3 Likes |

Omo_Tier1: Indeed you can do better by wasting other people's oil revenue. A city that cannot even solve common sanitation issues and transportation is begging for a first tier airport. How many int'l flights do they have operating in and out of MMA in a year and compare that to what they have operating within a week in CDG Olodo even if they build the best airport with 10 rwys nobody will come to that your filthy city. 1 Like

Omo_Tier1: You get paid by the post abi? I can see your world class bypass system what if we compare that with say that of Los Angeles Lagos really deserves a befitting bypass system I must say. FG should divert more ND oil to help fix the road networks in Lagos since Thiefnibu can barely muster only one bridge and a flyover in 14yrs.

I cant believe some people are sad about this project. Of course there's always room for improvement but that doesn't mean we shouldn't appreciate positive efforts on ground. Obviously Gej's main flaw is that he's not in the APC. This is our country in case you guys have forgotten o 1 Like |

Obviously Gej's main flaw is that he's not in the APC. This is our country in case you guys have forgotten oThis has nothing to do with a political party, rather it is more about us asking ourselves: IS THIS THE BEST WE CAN DO TODAY THAT WILL SERVE US FOR ANOTHER 15YEARS? They say the kind of blocks you put down would determine the kind of house you intend to build and how long you hope it would last for. Have you asked yourself, when it comes to themselves, these Ministers and the President always go for the last 2014 models of cars for their official use? Why don't they buy 1986 cars for their official use so we really know we need to start from somewhere? When the President went and ordered for new Presidential jets, why did He not go for a Gulf stream 4 or a B757? Why did He go for the latest Gulf Stream G650 |

Magic Bishop: FG is wrong by still investing in that ingrate State!you dont cut off your nose to spite your face. The MMIA is still Nigeria's premier gateway to the country and a federal property. Obviously what has been causing problems for the Gej administration is that supposedly sensible people expect the fg to handle projects meant for state govts which is an anomaly. So when you have governors who dont perform or who introduce harsh economic policies on their states, the people turn around blaming the follies of their governors on Gej meanwhili the achievements of his administration are on ground for everyone to see. 1 Like |

Magic Bishop:Haha.... I have challenged you with one question:Why on earth will a modern airport in this day and age be built without a mono-rail or intra-city railway system and all you could come up with is talk about Fashola and His achievements |
Re: VIDEO: Lagos Airport 3D Render by MagicBishop: 11:38pm On Dec 21, 2013 |
Omo_Tier1: In your demented little mind you assume that airports are built independently from the city they are meant to service i.e. power, roads and rail networks servicing the airport are supposed to be independent from the city management. Go and ask Fashola to do some thing for once other than sweeping Lagos roads with remnant APC rally paraphernalia |
Re: VIDEO: Lagos Airport 3D Render by talktimi(m): 11:39pm On Dec 21, 2013 |
Omo_Tier1:I understand your point of view but what im trying to say is that this particular airport has been left stagnant for over 3 decades and so i'm bound to be happy when a govt comes across and picks interest in improving it from the present status quo. Could something better have been proposed ? Definitely, but we can not correctly identify the budget constraints this particular ministry is working with. Also knowing fully well that (serious) airports are constantly under expansion, definitely improved architectural structures are bound to follow even if not at the MMA then at least at other international airports scattered across the country |
Re: VIDEO: Lagos Airport 3D Render by OmoTier1(m): 11:47pm On Dec 21, 2013 |
Magic Bishop:Fasola has done more than your GEJ would ever do even if He was given 20 years at the saddle in aso rock ( but God forbid, He destined to vacate there by 2015!). I find it even laughable that your own statement indicts you and your puppet master shed of an airport project. FYI, when MMIA was planned way back in 1969, It had railways planned as part of the phase two of the airport modernization. Kindly tell you GEJ puppet government minister to stick to that plan and put in place a modern airport building and services... |

Whether they like it or not investors are coming and not some repackaging firm that now dominate the Lagos Industrial base but heavy Industries from auto manufacturers , shipping and even aviation! Don't be surprised to hear soon in the news of a major European airline setting up a transit hub in Calabar for their newly established African hub. This airline had been negotiating with former regimes but the bribes did not kick in enough and their initial plan was to expand and manage the Abuja airport but given the security situation and proximity to boko haram and also growth forecasts for the SE, this global airline will soon conclude taking over CALABAR Airport. |

Can you compare even this Kenya airport with that CGI that they want us to call our airport of the future
