Excellent performance of dendrimer-based magnetic nanoparticles in the heavy metal recycling. The dendrimer combined with magnetic nanoparticles has integrated both their advantages,can prepare efficient adsorbent for heavy metal ions, and achieve the analytical recovery of heavy metal ions without membrane material. Dendrimer can be recycled 10 times. Dendrimer modified magnetic nanoparticles has good dispersion with uniform particle size. Metal ion removal rate of the magnetic nanoparticles is about 30%, while the dendritic polymer-modified magnetic metal particles have better adsorption capacity up to 80%, which is 2.5 times more than unmodified one. pH affects adsorption of heavy metal ions, best performance is at pH 7, the adsorption rate was 10% at pH 4. Adjusting the pH can achieve recovery of heavy metals ion and magnetic particles. Compared with unmodified magnetic nanoparticles, its SA adsorption performance was improved, and the adsorption performance increases with the generation enhances. In addition, nanoparticles modified by dendrimer has a good affinity to biotin, affinity to biotin of G5 dendrimer modified particles than the unmodified magnetic particles are increased 6.15 times.
