Because the second wife addresses the imperfections of the first wife. She fills what's missing in the first wife.
However, I fail to see why men should marry more than a wife. Why duplicate all the wahala that comes with marriage.

Normal human Intuition prefers and attaches importance to last acquisition than the previous ones ... Why ?
