Saw this online and decided to share. Due to the fact that most people give out wrong numbers without noting the number given out. Next time you're given a phone number, reread the number to the giver but replace one of the numbers with another number. If the giver doesn't correct you, try it a second time. If the giver failed to correct you, there is a high probability that you were given a wrong number.
