That's why we have election tribunals
We all know how this plays out. Inec should have cancelled the elections immediately they spotted the irregularities the same way the 1st election of the 2011 general elections was cancelled.

atlwireles: Why has APC not put out their usual series of Press releases alleging rigging. There were soldiers every where in Yobe and the federal government did not use them to rig the elections Soldiers in Edo, Ondo,Delta and Anamabra were all accused by APC of detaining their agents, beating up their supporters and thumb printing ballots. What happened in Yobe grin grin grin grin grin

FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED AND REPORT TO US.

DIDN'T YOU READ THE POST THAT PDP DID NOT PARTICIPATE SITING SECURITY REASON?

WELL, FIND OUT FOR US.

It is obvious why PDP pulled out of the election! It is part of the grand strategy for 2015 that failed woefully cool now do you really think it is near impossible to have 990,000 voters to vote in a local council elections in 17 LGAs?

That Anambra could only garner less than 500,000 votes despite registering over 1.2millions voters is a testament of the massive disenfranchisement of voters that ought to demand cancellation of that election.

I hope you know Inec does not have powers to cancel elections, after results have been announced. Let the tribunal do its job.

Very well said! This is the difference between we Southerners and the North when it comes to elections. They always go out enmass to vote, especially when their religious leaders have instructed them to go and vote
why the do we keep on saying religion has no place in politics in Nigeria. Am sure their religious leader will not advice them to vote for anybody out side their religion.

The absence of PDP is the reason why APC has not bombarded us with their press statements??

The electoral tribunal is there to seek cancellation of the Anambra's election. That's the way the system works.

Religion has and will always have a place in a democratic setting. However, religious leaders are not to cajole their fellow worshipers to vote for any candidate, instead, they ought to encourage their fellow worshippers to participate actively in the electoral process. This is one thing they do so well in the north but is lacking in the South.

No, you got it all wrong! After INEC completed the first batch of elections, having noticed the widespread and deliberate disenfranchisement of voters by some of her compromising staff, there was no need to go ahead and conduct 'fake' supplementary elections unknown to the electoral laws in Nigeria. At that time, INEC ought to have cancelled the elections of JEGA and HIS RECs were people of honour and integrity, since no final results had been announced by the state returning officer at that stage of the election.

In fact, the damaged done to Nigeria's democracy by that Anambra election is massive and several of our international development partners are now sitting on the edge thinking so much would go wrong with INEC and 2015 elections
