NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM THE LORD TO YOU

There are many things we need in this new year, and there are many things God desires for us; but if there is anything we need more than anything else in this new year, and if there is anything God desires for us above anything else in this brand new year, it is VICTORY!

We need victory in the journey of 2014, for us to experience a successful 2014, victory is a must and it must be certain from the beginning of the year.

We need victory over Satan - the arch-enemy of our souls, we need victory over sin – the major challenge on our ways, we need victory over sickness - the major hindrance of our physical wellbeing, we need victory over principalities and powers, we need victory over death, and we need victory over failure, over poverty, enemies, etc. We need victory every minute, every day, every month of this year, no room to be defeated a minute; we need spiritual victory, physical victory, financial victory, marital victory, academic victory, career victory, ministerial victory, all-round victory. No one can actually survive this New Year without daily record of victory.

The Source of Victory
Here is the point of the matter, how to get the urgently needed victory as we move on in this New Year. The source of victory for a victorious life this year does not depend on your wisdom, power and ability; as you need to be more prayerful this year, but your victory does not hinge on your prayer and fasting because it is not your prayer that guarantee victory, and not the prayer of any man or woman of God.

To experience all-round victory is not by anointing, speaking in tongues or special church programs. If you have wondered why many Christians involved in fasting and prayer and yet they are still defeated by Satan, sin and evil forces; you wonder why after series of deliverance and special prayer programs, many are still in bondage of the enemies or you are surprised that after many have been saved in Christ, they still experience attacks of the enemies or delay and defeat from the evil ones? It may be because you are ignorant of the real source of victory in life, and it will be too expensive for you to move in this New Year without discovering the real source of victory.

Here is the source of the victory from 1 John 5:4, “ For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”

The only source of victory in life is FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST. Faith in Jesus Christ not in anyone, faith in the power of God, not in your prayer, faith in the grace of God, faith in God’s Word.

Without faith in the Word of God, there is no victory in this world. Let your faith hinge in the power of the Word. Let your faith settle in what you read from the Bible, not what you feel, let your faith stand on what you hear from the Word of God, not what you hear from the world. “And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith."

THE SECRET OF FAITH
Faith comes through the word of God. If you want to have the faith that guarantees victory in this fearful world, you need the Word of God. You need to accept the Word of God into your life and surrender the living Word- Jesus Christ. John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” You need Jesus Christ, the Word in your life.

“In the beginning was the Word” There is no better way to begin this year than with the Word of God, and the only way to begin a new life in the New Year is by the Word of God, you need to surrender totally to Jesus Christ. Genuine salvation is the secret and beginning of victorious life in Christ Jesus.

THE SUSTAINING OF VICTORY
To sustain all round victory in this New Year, you need to sustain your faith in the Lord, and he only way you can sustain your faith is by adding some good things to your faith. "But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love."

Faith by itself cannot stay for long – and so many Christians' faith is death. If you don’t want to end up having death faith that leads to destruction, you need to sustain your faith alive. And how do that are he followings:

1, Walk Of Righteousness – Without working out righteousness in Jesus, your faith is dead. James 2:17, 26 “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

We are saved by faith for good works, not by faith for sinful works. The evidence of living faith is not just by claiming or confession but by the work of righteousness. The work of righteousness is the fruit of the Spirit. We need to be fruitful in the Lord more than last year. From Galatians 5:22, 23, we see the list of the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT, as we read, we must reflect on our lives and check where we need to grow better.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”

2, Fervent Prayer Life – Without fervent prayer life, your faith will become feeble and faint. You can easily move on in your career or business this year without fervent prayer life, but you can’t sustain your faith. Do not permit anything or activity to distract or drain your prayer life this year, a serious warning!

3, Word of God – To sustain a victorious life this year, to sustain faith in Christ, you need more time to read, study, listen to and meditate the Word of God more than ever before. NOTE: Only those who are consistent in the word of God will survive in the Spirit this year.

Jude 20, 21, “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”

HAVE FAITH IN GOD!
There may be much challenges this year, the message from God is: Have faith in God. There may be more temptations this year, but have faith in God. There may be series of bad news and forecasts this year, but all you need is to have faith in God. Let this statement be your daily consolation and watchword: Have faith in God!

Grow in faith, stand in faith, speak by faith, walk in faith, pray in faith, keep your faith alive and victory is sure!
