In my own view, that admission essay is just a way of getting to know the applicants. In a case where two people have the same points, the admission essay could be used to select the most promising applicant.

Everyone knows fully well that one could hire experts to write it, admission essay, for one, so it's "likely" that it won't be graded. If not, they could have asked the applicants to write it on that PUTME day.

Precisely, it could be used to assess folks with the same grade or composite.

But funaab is too secretive, they will rather keep the basis for the essay amongst few high ranked officials than make it known to all..
