dont throw ur psp battery away, the odds are it can still work again simply by discharging the battery life to an extent. the battery if u had opened it before is a sort of IC wired battery and i guess it is made so to work digitally with the psp.....discharge the battery by connecting to a torch for some few hours and insert it in ur psp again, shuld work....i hope this helps
