If it gets hot while you're browsing the internet, then it is normal especially when on 3G mode. Otherwise, what do you normally do that gets it hot?

What is the last action it does just before tripping off?

Does it restart itself or it just trips off?

Have you tried lapping the battery with thick paper to make sure it isn't the battery that no longer fits in properly?
