idumuose: Some people are so confined to their states that they don't know
Cities in other states.
There are majorly two parametres that determine whether or not a place is urban (city): development and population.

Edo state should be as follow:

1. Benin City.
2. Uromi.
3. Auchi.
4. Ekpoma.
5. Igarra. (Almost the largest, but not as developed as the above)
6. Okpella, Ibillo and Lampese, because of the Federal road that pass through these places.

@Afam
You means the following are cities in Abia South Region for having Polytechnic/ higher institution, Banks. Companies Tarred roads and some commercial activities.

Asa/Obehie,
Osisioma
Aba
Obingwa
Ugwunagbo

But we call them all Aba, though they are different Local Government Councils and Administration.

I've always known these places to be part of the greater Aba. Though they're distinct towns.

Schooled in elele
A village in ogun is 3 time the population there
And i think theres only one bank there
#just saying bro
Correct if am wrong

Elele my bad, maybe you should know, there are small and big Elele. The latter looks more like a town.

Afam4eva:
is this Eleme or Elelewan?

No Afam, Elele not Elelenwo. Ndele in Elele looks more or less a town tbf.

I laugh in okrika language.
Port harcourt is River state and River state is port harcourt.
There is no place that is fit to be called a town except port
Harcourt.

Have you been to Omuku or Bori?
Even Buguma, Bonny and Abonnema are better than some towns mentioned here.

Obigbo is more of a town than Elele. In fact, Isiokpo could be considered a town before Elele yet they are glorified villages.

Tolexander: very obvious you are from ile ogbo. Cos ile ogbo should have no place in that list.

OSUN STATE

I agree with you about ile ogbo but how can you remove ede and iwo from the list.I use to heard that ila is also a town
Re: May We Know The Major Cities/town In Your State. by AndreUweh(m): 3:11pm On Jan 06, 2014
In Imo state, Owerri, Orlu, Okigwe and Oguta are the chief towns. but there is a town rapidly developing in Imo state. It is at the border of Imo state and Umuahia. It is Onu Imo in Obowu LGA.

The location also is important to the rapid growth.
Easy access from Umuahia, easy access from Owerri and Mbaise. Easy access from Okigwe and Aba through the express tower and easy access from Etiti and Mbano through the Okigwe-Etiti-Umuahia road.

Most non-Rivers people consider the entire Rivers State as Port-Harcourt. If not Rivers State has a lot of urban area like Oyigbo, Umuebulu in Etche, Onne, Bori, Eleme, Bonny, Abonema, Buguma, Ahoada, Omoku, Okrika.

Akwa-Ibom has Abak, Uyo, Ikot-Ekpene and Eket as the major urban centres.

Abia State has Aba, Ariaria, Osisioma, Ugwunagbo, Obingwa, Umuahia, Arochukwu/Ohafia.

Imo State has Owerri, Orlu, Oguta, Nkwerre, Amaigbo, Okigwe as major urban areas.

Cross-River has Ugep, Ogoja, Odukpani, Ububra and Calabar.

Iwo is busy too but would have been better if Bowen students were allowed to integrate into the town. The economic benefit would have been felt better by the locals.
