We have all seen and commented and talked and gotten angry about the various things going on in Nigerian politics, so tell me fellow Nairalanders can this country be saved from corruption at all, if you think so how would you go about it assuming you were given the chance to change Nigeria in 365 days?

Lets face it the average Nigerian child is corrupt, not to even talk of the youths so where is the hope for this country?

Well i don't think it will be easy but this should help a little bit: Assign a death penalty to any corruption case.
I'm sure that will leave a higher percentage of Nigerians dead but all we want is to flush away corruption wink

Is the issue at stake lack of stringent laws or lack of will power on the part of the corrupt elite to implement laws

How will you guarantee that leaders who cant send their friends to jail will send them to death??

Or will we end up enacting death penalty that will only be implemented to those who are not connected to the corridors of power

We need a reality check on what works and a pragmatic approach to fight corruption.

it has come to stay. the only thing we can do now, is to live with it. somehow.anyhow.

soo sad eh? that's the reality. b/c the judge is corrupt, police corrupt, efcc corrupt, president corrupt, legislature that will make the law is the most corrupt. etc etc etc so, we live with it. sad

@poster
na real wa for you o,how hard have you tried in your own little way to change the status quo?
the problem is not corruption being second nature,rather you should be looking at the underlying factors contributing to and fuelling corruption, its a pretty damning assertion saying that corruption could be second nature to us
