Our client seeks to recruit Finance Supervisor for their operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintain proper records of all company’s assets, liabilities and trading functions and the security of the assets.
• Assist in implementing effective accounting procedures and internal controls which conform to corporate standards and ensure that they are followed.
• Assist in preparation of monthly/Quarterly financial accounts and ensure that all statements are submitted on due dates to management.
• To assist in prompt Preparation of the company’s annual published financial statements for review by management.
• Maintain efficient and effective fixed assets system covering:
• The day-to-day recording and control over the company’s fixed assets. Organize verifications and reconciliation with the fixed asset register as at when necessary.
• Carry out regular review of all the company’s assets, identify excess assets and advise management for disposal.
• Assist in scrutinizing payment vouchers before payment is effected with a view to controlling expenses.
• Ensure suppliers, contractors and other creditors are paid as at when due.
• Ensure that revised systems aimed at improving efficiency are maintained.
• Ensure that wages are prepared and paid at notified times and regulations regarding Income Tax, Pensions Accounts, are strictly complied within all aspects and the files kept up to-date.
• Organize collection of information/dates required for compilation of wages. Ensure that payrolls are completed and delivered to all branches before payday.
• Supervise the credit control functions and ensure that customer accounts are updated promptly, statements are sent and outstanding balances are pursued for recovery.
• Ensure effective Banking Relation activities, prepare and cross examine all bank reconciliation statements and follow up any unusual and over due items to prevent fraud/errors. Maintain liaison with banks on relevant banking matters as appropriate.
• Attend to external Audit request/enquiries and ensure Audit report recommendations are followed up and implemented according to company procedures.
• Supervise cashier ensuring that all receipts are properly collected and promptly banked.
• Monitor operational efficiency and correctness of computer input and output.
• Coordinate staff training and development within the department.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
B.sc Accounting, Banking & Finance
ACA
Master in finance will be an added advantage.
4years quality experience in similar industry
