I see you put "culture" next to gay in your topic. but this crap does not belong here.

Someone should move it to the sexuality section.

Abeg, there is nothing "cultural" about Homos. "Ailment" is better!!!!

Actually, and I offer this with all due respect, such is not quite the case.  Bonobos can--and do--have sex facing each other.  They even engage in what we humans refer to as homosexual activities.

KarmaMod:

Lmao you really think homosexuality just started in Nigeria?

You ostriches are funny.
KarmaMod:

Angry that we are exposing the secrets of Nigeria, are you? Obviously it's acceptable hence why it's on NIGERIAN UNIVERSITY grounds. Keep staying in denial grin
LOL!  Amen, KarmaMod!  Preach on, my friend!!

One has to think of one’s future especially someone like me that desires to get married and have children,” one of them said.

Though I got married after my university education, I still engage in it now because old habits die hard.

These 2 comments are so disturbing!  angry These 2 idiots are subjecting the lives of innocent women to the possiblity of diseases 'cuz I'm sure there will be some unprotected sex with these other men they sleep with.  angry

It sickens me that these "in the closet" gay men or whatever are hurting more and more of our women because they want to do their nonensense with their men and at the same time have sex with a woman who has no clue that the fool she's with is living a double life.

If you wanna have sex with men, fine that's your business; but to then hide it and still have sex with a woman too?, playing russian roulette with her life?, That's cruel  angry  I am aware there are people who consider themselves bi-sexuals but at least they are honest with their potential partners about what they do!

WOMEN BEWARE!! THIS IS SERIOUS, Protect yourselves from these predators cuz that's what they are. They should be locked up for life for that mess.

little wonder why the politicians and big men do not want the youths to have a better life, slavery like the one in colonial days is not th only type of slavery,th one we have in nigeria is black on black financial slavery, thats why u get normally straight guys pretending to be gay just to make enuff money for their educational expences,
@reese1
dont let the inserts disturb you,its same vice like drugs i.e being on crack, being unfaithful e.t.c once u get addicted to it your though process changes totally, thats what has happened to the guy
homosexuality is a psychological brain disorder and it is alien to nigeria, even ppl that have tried to prove it has always been part of africa can only limit that to central and south africa not west or nigeria especially

The prostitution part is disturbing. These are young uns. They might be offered more money to go at it sans protection, which they might accept, and pick up more than they bargained for, STDs. It's amazing how many people don't test for HIV, because ignorance is bliss. Some of these rich older types have kids the same age. When you're a student and poor and your needs are primal, you might do anything. The prostitution, male and female, is horrible.

But I've nothing against gays dating each other, or same sex marriages. Live and let live. It's not my life, and if someone says he or she finds the same sex attractive, it's their choice to make. Why should anyone conform their sexuality to your ideas of right and wrong and sick and disgusting? As long as it doesn't harm another human being, whatever makes anyone happy.

homosexuality is a psychological brain disorder and it is alien to nigeria,

it isn't alien to nigeria given the existence of the dan daudu in nigeria for centuries, there are elements of homosexuality in the dagara culture of burkina faso. western africa did indeed have homosexuality before the "evil" white man came. according to the american pyschological association, homosexuality is not a disorder. are u smarter than them in the field of pyschology

T@medo, my guy wetin dey?

I have no words, no words, Naija! Chineke God! I don't know if it is a case of "western/white-man copyism" - a disease that is very much a part of the Nigerian DNA - or just another rung in the ladder of moral degradation we find ourselves. I actually have gay and bi friends. They are not "evil" people. But they know I do not support their choice and we agree to disagree on this one issue. When I first came, I used to be sooooo repulsed and DISGUSTED. Nevertheless like I mentioned in one of my older posts, we have bigger fish to fry besides homosexuality. Although it seems these days like it's just showing up or whatnot the fact is I knew gay Naija babes exist. The guys are what are new and totally alien to me especially considering how naija men like to be so MACHO & "I'm the MAN"! It's like---I can't imagine two Naija guys getting together like that or being attracted to each other. Eeeyuck! DIS-GUUUUSTTTT-ING! A lot of Naija women are not even attracted to Naija men right now not to talk of another Naija man finding one attractive! Hahahahah! O gosh! Totally disgusHting!

There's even a gay Naija website - www.gaynigeria.com

people, pls lets chill out with the insults everybody,

wikipedia is not a iron clad conclusive source to back up any claim much less scientific,i dont know about naija unis but no lecturer will accept wikipedia source from you as for a group of white scientists making some conclusions about some animals that is closest to our dna no be today,go and google the eugenics,or google cesar lombroso and his positivist theories, when he and a group of scientists said that it was proven that black people have the characteristics of being born criminals, this was believed generally untill less than 100 years ago so pls dont give me that scientist line,

homosexuality is not natural, same as paedophilia, objectophilia, necrophilia e.t.c is not natural that excuse is the white people's way of justifying themselves, the level of peverse pleasures they get out of some sick sexual stuffs is a pointer to this fact, for example how will u wrap a nylon ound urself includn ur nose and say u naturally feel more sexual pleasure,or how will u tell me that u are married to the eiffel tower because you fell in love are all these natural too?
Re: Gay Culture Gains Ground On Nigerian Varsity Campuses by huxley(m): 9:43pm On Sep 13, 2008
Homosexuality is alien to Nigerian much like Christianity or Islam is alien to Nigeria smiley

One's sexual preference is entirely their concern. Just as a heterosexual might prefer a partner with brown eyes, which is entirely natural, a homosexual is "prefers" someone of the same sex.

Even if homosexuality turns out to be a learned behaviour, rather than biologically determined, such homosexual should have the right to freely exercise their preference, as long as consent is given by all concern.
Re: Gay Culture Gains Ground On Nigerian Varsity Campuses by bawomolo(m): 4:28am On Sep 14, 2008
i don't know about naija unis but no lecturer will accept wikipedia source from you as for a group of white scientists making some conclusions about some animals that is closest to our dna no be today

there are black and asian biologists involved in this research too, it's sad your hate for whites have clouded your reasoning. it's funny we make fun of white culture but these same oyinbo countries are more advanced than us in most aspects of life.

this was believed generally untill less than 100 years ago so please don't give me that scientist line,

those were proven to be pseudo-sciences by the same WHITE scientists u hate. i wonder why u are studying in the UK with such close minded beliefs. you still haven't explain how the dan-daudu appeared in northern nigeria. i guess that was a western import.

homosexuality is not natural,same as paedophilia,objectophilia,necrophilia e.t.c

because little kids, objects and dead people agree to have sex with adults, why don't u just add bestiality to the list.

how will u tell me that u are married to the eiffel tower because you fell in love are all these natural too?

i never knew the eiffel tower could talk or show emotion
