Admissions for 2008/2009 Session       
 


Applicants, who must have sat for 2008 JAMB UME, are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into first degree programmes in her two colleges for 2008/2009 academic session.

3.          GENERAL REQUIREMENT ·       

UME CANDIDATES

Candidates applying to Achievers University admission are required to have sat for the 2008 University Matriculation Examination (UME).   They must also obtain a minimum of five credit  passes (at not more than one sitting), or six credit passes (at not more than two sittings) in WAEC (WASC/SSCE) and/or NECO (SSCE) in English Language, Mathematics and three other subjects relevant to the course of study.   ·       



DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES As for above, but with 2 or 3 A/L or H.S.C. or ND or NCE results in relevant discipline. Candidates are also expected to have purchased the Direct Entry JAMB form.   In addition, candidates are expected to purchase Achievers University Admission Forms and participate in the screening exercise.



4.    DURATION OF PROGRAMMES The Degree programmes listed above shall run for duration of 4 OR 5 years (four or five years) for UME candidates and 3 or 4 years (three or four years) for Direct Entry Candidates depending on the programme.   



5.    FOUNDATION PROGRAMME Candidates with deficiency in their SSCE/NECO results are advised to apply for the foundation programme, where they would be taught to remedy the deficiency in a one-year programme. Successful candidates would proceed to 100 level in the 2009/2010 academic session provided they sit for 2009 JAMB examination.

OPTION B (E-APPLICATION) E-Application process is electronic and online 24-hours a day. Follow the procedure as listed below:

1. Walk into any branch of the following banks:

2. Pay N5,500 to obtain Confirmation Order Number

3. Use the Confirmation Order Number to visit the school website - www.achievers.edu.ng

4. On getting to the website click on Online Application and follow the steps. 



SCREENING OF CANDIDATES

Screening of candidates for admission will hold on Saturday, 4th October, 2008.
