I've heard ladies complain that a particular guy doesn't look like a marriage material while guys that complain the same usually do so after seeing some red flags in a woman.

How do you determine that somebody is not a marriage material without really spending lots of time with them to know who they really are? Could the accusation be a mere product of prejudice?

Ladies,

Do you believe that a man that is not marriage material(Hannibal,Eldee, pataki,Sly etc) can be converted into a marriage material if due pressure is added to reform them or are you a firm believer in old habits never die?

I don't believe guys who are not marriage material can be converted into marriage material. Have we forgotten free will? The men themselves have to genuinely believe that they should change their ways. It is not wise to start a relationship with someone, that you intend to change before you can go ahead and marry them because, how do you guarantee that they will change, or that they will not change back.

If someone is NOT marriage material, the best thing to change them is life and time. Most people sort out their ways by the time they reach the age that all their friends and exs are getting married and they are slowly becoming outnumbered.

Is it proper to conclude that someone is not a marriage material by merely observing him/her and what he/she says?

Nope, it ain't proper. You have to spend time with the person. Mere observation from a distance is not enough, generally.

No be so women dey judge us without knowing the nitty gritty about us.

Btw,
You can effectively convert a man who is afraid of marriage to accept that sacrament from the way you treat him.

Why are we men so afraid of commitment but not afraid of sex?

I don't have the time or patience to convert anybody.
Seriously, I'D prefer it if I don't have to change him.

No. . . . you really can't convert someone when it comes to marriage. When someone is ready to be married, they will marry. If they are not, then they are not. Trying to convert someone into marriage material is basically shooting yourself in the foot.

Take it like this:
It is like some street thug with some "potential" and trying to convert him into a man worth marrying. Now how do you think the marriage will go. . . .

Because there is a difference between the two, and whilst they can detach emotion from sex, you have to put a lot of effort and care and emotion into commiting to someone.

Sex also is almost like a drug for some, exciting, nowadays we only seem to have positive connotations of the word, whilst commitment has almost like a dark cloud floating above it, I am sure a lot of men see commiting equally as exciting as being locked up in a cage for the rest of their lives.

They should have some integrity atleast, they can't be living carelessly and then expect you to see marriage potential in them when their lifestyle says otherwise. I believe people can change but only when they are ready and willing if not then you'll be fighting a losing battle trying to do it for them.

Bless GOODNESS!

Are you now seeing yourself as a marriage material? The world has come to an end. A lady who can not decipher a man who is not deem for marriage should have a serious re-check of herself. Do not go into marriage believing the man or the woman will change. An example is Deepshit oops sorry DeepZone.
