My fellow niaralanders, help me to thank God who has finally smiled on me with job opportunities. In have been offered a 840,000 p.a + 5% commission on contracts sourced by me in Leverage investment ltd, aconsulting firm and i ve a pending offer in zenith( of which i don't know when i am starting) This is after i ve gone for lost counts interviews & tests in Lagos and Abuja since Feb 14th, 2008., after NYSC. I ve reached a point when i was just going for going sake, yet I believed God to settle me when is tym. I gate crashed countless times. picked ajob of #30,000 in VI so that i won't stay @ home; stopped when i realized i was enslaved. But, I am a living testimony of the fact that there is a God in Zion that is ever faithful. And i used this medium to declare that ur tym has com too. He who gives all His children their bread at the appropriate tym will not forget u too. Amen and Amen. Pls i need advise on whether i should leave leverage firm for when I am called by zenith. i will only work 8-5, monday - friday and it is just about forty Naira bus fare to & fro my house. Should i continue stay with them and build my career in customer service for a while. Pls let me know what u all think about this. Thanks |

U need to clarify to urself wat exactly u want in a job. I cant help u wit a specific advise but i will share my experience in d hope that it'll help u too. I had 2 job offers recently: one in a logistics firm working wit Virgin Atlantic and another in a construction company. See, I studied building and i recently left a construction company dat wasnt paying well just to take another offer in Lagos. I had to clearly identify wat i wanted in a job in order to decide which job offer to take. Personally, i wanted a career in project mgt in addition with somtin dat will give me visibility and job security. I discovered that the construction company was owned by one man, just as the one i resigned from, and the logistics compy was a proper organisation with a staff strength of over 300 and with very organised operation system: so here was job security and visibility. But the pay for the aviation compy was low at start, and the construction company was starting at about N840,000 pa without extra benefits. I chose the logistics company cos of better job conditions:security, comfortable pay, closer distance from home and more organised company structure. Initially, it seemed like a hard decision to make but when i was able to clarify my priorities i was able to choose. Thing is regardless of wat advice u get from pple, make ur choice based on wat u think will make u happy and satisfied. |
