Reports have it that the Secretary to the Federal Government, Baba Gana Kingibe has been sacked. He is being replaced with by the Defence Minister Yayale Ahmed, This is good news cos kingibe has been over dominating and misleading the president, He styled himself the defacto president with all immodesty, |

I have learnt not to celebrate anything from Presidency these days, because you never know whether it is the President signing off these others or the person closest to his sick bed. |

Re: Kingibe Sacked by McKren(m): 5:41pm On Sep 08, 2008 |
jydewalker: I understand you source of happiness, but I don't know if this is good news or not. Because nobody knows if this is simply one group out maneuvering the other in the aso rock power game where unfortunately there is no leader. Yar'adua has not even addressed the Nation to tell us whether he is ok or not, and Bingo!!!!! Babagana Kingibe sacked. How do we know it is actually Yaradua sacking Kingibe.?? |

These news has been the shock in the villa all day, feelers have it that Kingibe fed the northern political caucus with alarmist tales of the presidents health and how Turai was the one controlling Mr Yaradua for her selfish reason, King also accused Turai of keeping them in the dark bout the president true state of health during his famous haj trip. |

its true , BBc report: Nigerian leader appears in public President Umaru Yar'Adua refuses to say exactly what he suffers from Nigerian President Umaru Yar'Adua has appeared in public for the first time in two weeks, marked by speculation and rumour about his health. He presided over the swearing-in of new military chiefs in the capital Abuja. The president, who suffers from a chronic condition which affects his kidneys, was receiving treatment in Saudi Arabia. President Yar'Adua also sacked a high-ranking government official who had been linked with the rumours. Secretary to the Government of the Federation Baba Gana Kingibe was removed and replaced by former Defence Minister Mahmud Yayale Ahmed, it was announced by e-mail. Constitutional problem The president's continued ill-health posed a problem for Nigeria's constitution, political scientists told the BBC. If he were to step down, or die, he must be replaced by Vice-President Goodluck Jonathan, who is from the country's southern Delta region. But according to the ruling People's Democratic Party's own formula for sharing power among the country's regions, the president must be a northerner. Rumours circulating among journalists and political pundits said the president was going to step down because of his ill-health and Mr Kingibe would step in as a kind of "puppet-master" Vice-President. Mr Kingibe, from Borno state in north-west Nigeria, was the vice-presidential running mate in the 1993 elections, annulled by former military ruler Ibrahim Babangida. He was also Minister for the Interior under Mr Babangida's successor General Sani Abacha. It was during this time that Shehu Yar'Adua, the current president's brother, was imprisoned. Shehu Yar'Adua, a former vice-president, died in jail. 'Pilgrimage' When he left Nigeria, President Yar'Adua said he was going to Saudi Arabia to visit the Muslim holy city of Mecca. Rumours about his worsening state of health spread after it was confirmed he was in a hospital in Jeddah. Spokesman for the opposition Action Congress (AC) Lai Mohammed told the BBC's News website the country was on "auto-pilot". President Yar'Adua has suffered from a condition affecting his kidneys for at least 10 years. He has twice been flown to Germany for emergency medical treatment in the last 18 months. Mr Yar'Adua has refused to say exactly what condition he suffers from, and has repeatedly said in interviews that his life is "in the hands of God." source:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7604889.stm |

Sorry folks; it seems to me that Nigeria is being re-arranged just in-case of In-caseCity. Hang on and let us watch Nigerian politics "the real politics", indeed. Long life Yar'Adua. IBB as a president would have accomplished a lot of positive things by now in Nigeria. He knows what is missing, he knows how to restore things back to normal and he knows the right folks that will get the job done correctly and quickly. It is obvious to me that many of us clearly do not completely understand this country; Nigeria is not an ordinary country and can never be ruled by just anybody. IBB is a terrible man that can not be trusted; but what have your people done for you lately, I just want to know how long folks are willing to wait for this miracle to occur! I still think that at this moment in Nigeria, IBB is |

Re: Kingibe Sacked by dudubobo1: 12:35pm On Sep 09, 2008 |
@BigB, what Nigerians will be displaying absolute idiocy if we were to have a man like Babandigger as leader again. A man who proved his horrific leadership attributes by leading us down a path from which we are yet to recover is the man you claim to be right man? Please tell me you're just joking. When a man falls into a gutter one day, it will be a mistake but if he falls into the very same gutter the next day, he has to be considered either blind or stupid. |

Re: Kingibe Sacked by BigB11(m): 6:23pm On Sep 09, 2008 |
@MAMAJAMA: No need to go there anymore with you; the facts are out there and the real politicians in Nigeria clearly understand these facts. IBB may not be the better man for the job, but he is absolutely the right man for the job at this time. For example: as Joe Biden continues to be the better VP for Obama, Hillary Clinton on the other hand still maintains the right VP for Obama at this moment in the race. We must understand the difference between "The Better Man and The right Man" and when to apply each of them appropriately. Sometimes to get there, you must bite the bullet; most of our problems in Nigeria will be solved as soon as Nigerians in Nigeria (forget those Maricon Nigerians that make so much noise outside Nigeria and show very little action) learn how to bite the bullet. Everything in life is a risk; but to me, selecting IBB as the president at this time in Nigeria is the right risk. Sorry guys, this is just the way I feel. Long Life Yar'Adua! |
Re: Kingibe Sacked by Mamajama(m): 6:28pm On Sep 09, 2008 |
@BIGB1 I cant wait to see the expresion on your face when Obama hit home run with Joe Biden. We are talking of change and not the same rhetoric slogan of the same old politicians. Clinton does not represent change, althouse she broke the barrier of ceiling glass. IBB has no intrest in ruling Nigeria ever again after he was disgraced out of the race by Ribadu and Obj. We as Nigerians does not need his help. Thanks |
Re: Kingibe Sacked by BigB11(m): 6:31pm On Sep 09, 2008 |
No doubt about it, Obama will definitely bring home the cake the same way Yaradua did last year. Did you get it? |
