From my own experience (and as a Nigerian), these are my top 10

1. Won't blink an eye to cut corners once he/she perceives an opportunity

2. Impatient, always in a hurry (and I wonder 'to where')

3. Their Graduates are always looking for established jobs rather than creating one

4. Their politicians are liars

5. Corruption capital of Planet Earth

6. Everyone wants to 'Get rich quick' here

7. Nigerians are survivors

8. Feared, suspected and almost always hated by their African counterparts, they still carry their own weight

9. Feared and suspected for fraud and sharp practices in the rest of the world

10. Think they are somewhat special with some smug superiority

Two types of typical Nigerians: Mr. 1 and Mr. 2 (or Mrs. 1 and Mrs. 2)

Characteristics of Mr. 1:
1. He is extremely materialistic
2. He's quick to judge others
3. He thinks he's better than all
4. He's very insecure and mostly mentally flimsy
5. He thinks white folks are better in every way and sees United States as Mecca
6. He measures his accomplishment by the numbers of his cars and houses
7. He's never satisfied regardless of his circumstance
8. He wants things only because his neighbours or friends have them
9. He's very loud and extremely uncivilized
10. He functions OK as long as he stays or mingles with folks at his level or below his level

Characteristics of Mr. 2:
1. He's very open minded and fair with his judgement
2. Material stuff means nothing to him
3. He's very respectful, sweet and bold at the same time
4. He mostly keeps his accomplishment to himself (not loud)
5. He does things his own way
6. He's very civilized and has an uncompromising family background/ values
7. He functions well under all circumstances
8. He's very stable in everyway
9. He doesn't mind to share
10. He's also spiritual

Mpele i quite agree strongly with ur post. but i think i will rather be what you have listed above than be a south african who is HIV-infested, lazy, finger-pointing, shiftless individuals. I honestly don't see what could entice me to visit a South African site or forum.

I don't take these lists seriously, because I don't believe there is a "typical" Nigerian, we're all made differently, and weren't meant to be the same. A lot of the lists apply to SOME Nigerians, and some African-Americans, but nothing typical of neither group.

But the topic has nothing to do with African Americans; you must have something special on your mind to indirectly introduce these entities into this topic.

I'm not an African American, but it is always sensible to be fair and pay more attention to what we say. I think introducing African Americans is absolutely unnecessary.
