@ Jackal You forgot to add that it was a kind of make-shift Man Utd side they played against They must be really trying to console themselves with the win against Valencia I think we outrightly tamed them in my own opinion but remembering that they couldn't even get a single goal is truely mortifying @ Mukina2 What kind of maths were you working back there? Every team has had its own share of those though I guess you had more badluck Next season? Yea, next season what? Next season at that time too and so on and so blah blah blah |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by mukina2: 8:31pm On May 04, 2008 |

Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by DrDre1(m): 8:50pm On May 04, 2008 |
@ Mukina2 You need medical attention You're just using badluck as an excuse and if recent events are to go by, me thinks the badluck as come to stay in Arsenal Top official just resigned, some of your players are on their way out, your manager is 'over-prudent' in buying players. I suspect he won't even be having a big purse to spend from this time. I tell you, that guy would be a better accountant than a coach. What is this you're saying about directing badluck to OT? Badluck is not traveling anyway close to OT. Badluck is the ship and Arsenal seems to be the dock for now. |

@ Mukina2 What a poor loser you are I wish AW can see how his decision affects other lives. :X You're gradually turning into something else 'cos of your persistent woes If not, why all these bitterness and anger? Don't worry, you can let it all out but leave OT out of it |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by mukina2: 9:31pm On May 04, 2008 |

Your players are jumping ship and you're here cursing Get a grip of yourself and tell your coach to put his house in order. Better still, maybe you should just sack him You shouldn't wait till when Derby starts chasing one of them before you know there is trouble Big dreams indeed. I guess they've turned to nightmares by now West Ham sold the match? Don't make AW turn you into a luna before you seek medical help please |

Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by MrTurkey(m): 11:07pm On May 04, 2008 |
zenit triumphs in manchester, manchester triumphs in moscow and moscow club owner cries in london and then next season london is abuzz with the gunners and everyone eats their hearts out |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by debosky(m): 2:31am On May 05, 2008 |
where is that noisemaker called Dayokanu? Spanked 4-0 by Zenit?? Nice goal by Nicklas today by the way. . .14 home wins and our first unbeaten season at the Emirates Obviously we can't play without Cesc, but we kept a clean sheet which was a good development. Flamini is 98% gone and I wish him well, I hope we get started on finding a replacement and solving the other issues with our squad, time waits for no one! |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by 4Him1(m): 2:35am On May 05, 2008 |
our season seems to be falling apart gradually. i suppose very many of the players are not confident we have the necessary players to win titles despite our early promise. Good luck Flam, i bet u'll wish u stayed by the end of the season. |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by rikkyjen(m): 2:58am On May 05, 2008 |
Damnnn, Flamini must be a greedy retarded ass. I can't believe the mumu is making his decision based on this solitary "slightly above average" season of his? Is there anyother thing to say than agreeing that Flamini just bit the finger that fed him, not only did he bite wenger's finger but he also pepper-sprayed Wengers french eyes. What a way to compensate a man who had the ballz and gallz to bench a Brazillian captain underservingly(if i may add) just for an unknown Frenchie. What would wenger do now? Beg Gilberto or Do some french Doumbala Voodoo to make Gilberto regain his confidence and form? This is so mega callous. Just last season, he was rotting away on the bench and infact was on the verge of being traded away, next thing Gilberto goes for a tourney and Boom Flamini sneaks into the first 11. Isn't the mofo supposed to cement his stay and hold a shirt. Who does he want to becnch in Milan? Ivan Gattuso or who? Mennnnn, for fucx sake, RVP, a better player is on a 45,000, 8years slavery contract and who is flamini who wants an 100,000?. I can't even believe flamini would reject a 50,000/week contract. No be the same player wey dey play 2mins/game last season be this? . Wengers's policy is backfiring!! He thinks he can keep this boyz together for a long time without breaking the wage structure but flamini is proving him wrong. I forsee Flamini's departure as an impending catalyst to many other departures ( Cesc,RVP) If flamini leaves and get his pay dough in Milan, other better Assnal players than Flamini would definitely get the urge to move on @ the slightest tempataion from the Laportas of Barca, the Calderons of Madrid and the Berlusconi & Morratis of the Milans. Over to all you peoples, who scream "ARSENE KNOWS" |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by 4Him1(m): 3:03am On May 05, 2008 |
Arsene is getting old. |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by debosky(m): 3:28am On May 05, 2008 |
Flamini was a gamble - he started the season well, AW believed the confidence and faith he showed in the lad would be enough to convince him to stay. But apparently the boy's heart is set on Italy, not unexpectedly though, since his dad is from there. Flamini in reality never wanted to sign a new deal, he waited till his contract ran out and then left, he simply used Arsenal to achieve what he wanted - a big money move elsewhere, considering the way he left Marseilles for Arsenal (similarly acrimonious circumstances) AW should've been prepared for the worst. In my opinion, it becomes CRUCIAL to ensure Gilberto stays - whoever we buy as Flamini's replacement will take time to gel into the team, while that is happening, Bertie can fit in. I believe Diarra shot himself in the foot in the end, if he stayed, he would virtually have a starting shirt for next season. Wenger's policy is NOT backfiring, a player more focused on cash will always leave no matter what you offer him, he would ALWAYS get more cash elsewhere since the club he would move to would not pay a transfer fee. If Cesc and the like are still at the club, then money is not really the issue - its the player's commitment to the cause of the club. Let Flamini go - any player not 100% committed to our cause is not worthy of the jersey IMO. AW will get something sorted out, which is why he wanted the matter finished as soon as possible so we can sign someone else if needed. I wish him the best, Arsene will remedy this well, just watch and see. Gunner 1915 |

I wish him the best, Arsene will remedy this well, just watch and see. As if i knew, you would be the first to reply my tirade, King of the "ARSENE KNOWS" brigade!!! . Adebowale, you amaze me but you don't surprise me!!! Watch and see, right? Watch and see Denilson and Diaby replace Flamini, is that what you are speculating? Like i always say on this message board, Garbage In Garbage Out, just like our modern day operating systems!! If you sow the Diabys and Denilsons again next season, it would be an amazing Quadruple trophyless season. Watch Arsene remedy this, right? the same way he has been remedying and patching Assnal's last 3 seasons Remedies Ko? Beatles Ni!!!! |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by HNIC(m): 7:43am On May 05, 2008 |
After watching the game yesterday with our first choice midfield for this season out(Diaby, Flamster, Cesc and Hleb), I think for now, we can't do without Cesc and Hleb.Flamster can go.He was great this season but Arsene will never stand in the way of a player that wants to leave. Also, he's a free agent, how do u stop him? NO qualms, there has been a thin line between success and failure and we were nearly there this season. Buying up everyone does not guarantee success. I am sure Arsene would have learnt one or two things this season and will bolster his squad for next term The Red and White army will keep marching on! |
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by presido1: 8:21am On May 05, 2008 |

@ Presido 1 What must be frustrating to humankind is having to read your senseless posts. Did u see the emirates yesterday? 60,000 supporters still turn out to support the red and white army. We remain Gunners till death. Now,son, depart this thread and write drivel no more!!! |

Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Victorxl(m): 11:32am On May 05, 2008 |
Guys, Arsene Wenger still wants to maintain the same wage structure. His reason is that we still have 360 million pounds to pay as mortgage for Emirate Stadium, so he might not be spending so much money this summer. He said we have to be careful with our spendings. For me i think maintaining the same wage structure might be bad for Arsenal, cos apart from Flamini there will be little or no increase in the earnings of our players and with teams like Chelsea spending so much on players even when the club is operating at a loss(financially, trophycially-wish there's a word like that lol) and AC Milan, spending Italian Govt money directly or indirectly and other teams ready to spend cash we might have some of our players leaving cos of money. |
