I'VE SEARCHED EVERY THREAD AND CAN'T FIND. INSTEAD OF MAKING SORREL I WANT TO MAKE THAT DRINK INSTEAD - SINCE I AM HAVING HAVE SOME NIGERIANS OVER FOR XMAS.

Years ago there was tinned egusi on sale in Nigeria by "Jobitex". They had tinned jollof, tinned moi-moi as well. It was quite popular with students.
Like somany food related inventions, the thought might be a little "hard to swallow" but they sometimes do gain ground. Time was when no one could have imagined things like:-
1. instant noodles (indomie, meme, etc)
2. quick fix pouded yam (poundo yam)
3. cold water pap powder
but all these things are common today.
