I want to know the implication of a person given birth to in UK, but have never applied for Citizen and wish to apply for a visitor visa for an urgent purpose. Does he has any chance of been granted a visa, without referrence why he has not applied for citizen. He has is birth certificate and was born in early 90s.

Will appreciate your kinded advice.

If you were born in the United Kingdom on or after 1 January 1983, you are a British citizen if at the time of your birth one of your parents was:

a British citizen; or
legally settled in the United Kingdom.

@ brownbonno, thanks for the post. The person in question, was born in 1991 and i am not sure if either parents were legal resident then. But he needs to travel to UK next month and wants to put in for tourist visa. Hope his been born in UK will not affect the application.

If you have a british birth certificate like you say, you wouldn't be on nairaland asking all these questions instead you would contact the british consulate to ask questions and prove who you are as they see fit.
