Jackal, young players? yeah, young like Rooney and Ronaldo, as you have so often told us. Since when has that been a problem.

These young players (bar Henry and Fred) fought united last season as rookies. This season they are more experienced. That is what has changed - the level of experience.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by lordimpaq(m): 3:23pm On Oct 09, 2007
Jackal:

Arsenal lacked CHARACTER last season . . . .FACT!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't say anything to that

Jackal:

How would they react to a defeat? Answer that question and get back to me . . . . . .
Son, it hasnt changed and it takes just one freak loss to clog the wheels of the Gunners.

well jackal, that question is yet to be answered as we'll have to wait till we get defeated and see what happens next before we can answer that question,

no doubt history has it that arsenal loses one and then it takes time before we get our acts together, everton was one of em (thats why i hate rooney) and then he came back again in red to beat us 2-0 to end our unbeaten run, jeez that would've been 50 games,

but i believe we would come back this team is different from last season, that character that we allegedly didn't have last season i think we have it,

i said i "think" we have it
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by ritchboi: 3:40pm On Oct 09, 2007
as is d case wenever i come here, jackal naggin about ARSENAL. never ch
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by ritchboi: 3:47pm On Oct 09, 2007
never chelsea or liverpool, just ARSENAL. damn jack, u seen dat shrink yet?
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by tkb417(m): 3:48pm On Oct 09, 2007
@Jackal
You said Benitez is relatively better than fergie in europe. how?
one UCL for both of them. fergie has winners cup(twice) with Aberdeen beating Real to it in the finals, the second time , Barcelona ate the dust against United. Benitez has UEFA cup in addition to his UCL title.
Maybe, you meant he's better than Wenger but not Fergie. lailai

@A-40
cubes aint my place naturally cos its far from ma hood. But, if im in Las Gidi, ill stroll in. was at Hardley suites when we murdered chelsea.
drinks aint cheap, yeah, thats the point. the looser will buy plenty grin grin grin
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 4:13pm On Oct 09, 2007
Cubes! Does it still exist? I used to hang out there a bit back in Naija. There was also that other place - one sports bar not too far from Mega Plaza. They served a manageable peppersoup and COLD beer.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by tkb417(m): 4:21pm On Oct 09, 2007
@Banderas
Cubes is still very much around. I dont usually hang der. just wanna go to see how A-40 will go home with his jaw dropped. grin grin grin
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 4:21pm On Oct 09, 2007
@ Lordimpaq,

This is where i think u can be brilliant.
You are so quick to see what i have been nibbling at.
Thanx for letting others know Arsenal is not too good in reacting positively to DEFEATS.
I hope the young gunners have matured to deal with CHARACTER.

@ Banderas,

YOUNG in this context means naivety and inexperience.
You cannot compare Rooney-Ronaldo's football experience to the likes of Hleb or even Van Persie.
Wazza represented England at the age of 18 in EURO 2004  and was a STAR in the tournament just like Cristiano Ronaldo.
These United players started so young so they know what it takes . . . .where was Van Persie in Euro 2004?
Where was Sagna, Flamini, Clichy or Diaby at EURO 2004? Can u spot the difference now?

@ Loyika,

You keep disappointing me.
Wenger has won it before and reh reh reh . . . . .
Maybe its Wenger that needs to focus and not the players.
Can u tell us why he is yet to retain the Premiership title? grin grin grin grin
He wins it this season and loses it in the next one . . . . .Is that not the CHARACTER we are talking about?
Jose Mourinho did back to back titles . . . .Ferguson has done it many times . . . .Where is Wenger on the list?
So stop giving LE CHACAL that liner of WENGER has done it before . . . .It hardly matters here.

@ tkb417,

I was talking about Rafa and Ferguson.
In recent years . . . .Benitez has struck GOLD in Europe.
He won UEFA cup with Valencia in 2004 and Champions league with Liverpool in 2005.
Came 2nd this year so we should give him his credits for CONSISTENCY in Europe.
In recent times . . . . he has been one of the most succesful managers in the Prem.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by loyika(m): 5:01pm On Oct 09, 2007
@ Chacal

Jose was so great that he got the boot tongue

Now its retaining the title tongue If anyone bought your analysis, Arsenal would be where Tottenham are now, 17th on the table with 7 points.

Cause i am sure (in your heart of hearts) you wished thats where Arsenal were, so your statements would have much weight, instead of being reduced to "Character rants" and "Game week predictions".

We will see who wins what at the end of the season, to paraphrase your statements; "Ignore Arsenal at your peril".

I leave you with your "Character" Analysis.

CHARACTER INDEED!! tongue

Please spare me, and we shall see who beats whom at the Emirates.

@ Loyika,

Dont u dare mention Jose Mourinho . . . .Wenger would have been the happiest when Mourinho left.
Jose did his bit here and besides every club has its priorities. . . . . .
Roman Abrahamovic's prime target is the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.
Jose was given that target with 400 million pounds worth of players and couldnt deliver UEFA in 3 years.

Some school of thoughts say if Jose achieved what Rafa achieved in Europe . . . . .he would still be the manager of Chelsea.
Roman's wet dreams is UEFA and since Jose failed to deliver that . . . .he deserves to be booted out.
I would have also kicked Jose out in Abrahamovic's shoes. . . . .He failed to deliver his primary targets.
Play attractive footie and bring us UEFA Champions league . . . . Jose never achieved 'em feats.

Meanwhile, Wenger's target is play attractive footie with youngsters . . . We don't care if u win trophies with em or not.
Just bring us young African players, develop em and make them play expansive football and u will get paid.
So ma bruv, every club has different goals and objectives.
Wenger's goals seem to be the easiest amongst the top 4 managers so he is less under pressure compared to Jose/Fergie/Benitez.
A manager that has won ZILCH in 2 years and his employers still think he is GREAT . . . .GAYNNERS are wankstas.

Don't even start talking bullocks about Jose cause I could cut your willy off if I had ma way, with the kind of annoyance I'm feeling right now!

Jose is one million times better than Mr. Voyeurski, in this life and the next!!! angry

Bloody plonker!!!

Jose even went as far as winning the C/L! The greatest trophy in Europe!! What Euro trophies did your gaffer win?

If that don't make a coach 'SO GOOD' , I don't know what would.

Bloody self-servicer! Loyika, get off the phone! Stop having phone intimacy with Aunty tolotolo grin and concentrate!!!

Stop talking out of your ass boy!!!!
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 5:28pm On Oct 09, 2007
@ Loyika,

Trust me to always make ur day. wink wink wink
The shit sounds funny to me as well.
I am expecting Lordi, Banderas, A-40, Ritchboi and all others to come gunz blazing.
Luckily, i am good enough to tackle em.

@ Hot Razorr,

It seems u and Loyika have a score to settle.
Lemme step aside and watch whats about to happen here.
Meanwhile . . . .Loyika is a GUNNER(although he doesnt carry DESERT EAGLES . . . he has a DANE GUN)so be careful of him.
There's no body armour/Kevlar body suit that can stand the HEAT of a Dane Gun . . . . So be smart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by HotRazorr: 5:36pm On Oct 09, 2007
Hahahahaha

@Jackal

Are you shitting me? Step aside? You're having a laugh!

Maself and Loyiski would get into the same pair of trousers to fight this one out if it comes to that.

I can't see him spill this kind of bollocks about ma ex boyfriend, who I still madly love, and keep quiet! angry
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by loyika(m): 5:40pm On Oct 09, 2007
@ Razorr cheesy cheesy

You angry!? Who lasted only 2 minutes on top of you, thats got you this pissed

Anyway, just a note!! Jose won the CL with Porto and not Chelsea, (Unless you now support Porto as well). So get used to the fact that your beloved Jose has been kicked to the curb like a Mexican Hooker!!

Lets see where Chelsea end up this season, but if i were you, i would start getting used to the statement; "WHO ARE CHELSEA'S NEXT OPPONENTS IN THE UEFA CUP!!" Cause thats the best you can hope for at the end of the season grin A UEFA CUP PLACE grin

@ Chacal

you talk about those guys, Kit and Debo will have you for lunch if they sniff that post grin

Anyways, i am out of here cool

Later Hombre cool (Razorr its still early, you can still catch another Pr@ck before sunset, so don't lose hope my dear kiss kiss).

Loyiski Loyiski loyiski!!!!

I've said it before and I would repeat maself - Postpone the phone intimacy you're having at the moment wiv our great aunty! It's bad for your brain, as being manifested at the moment wiv the way you're talking outta your ass!!!!

You said Jose is 'not all that' and I told you to shut the Bleep up if you have nothing useful to spew!!!

I wasn't talking about Chelsea or Porto! I was talking about THE MAN JOSE!!! cool

The fact that he didn't win the C/L in Chelsea doesn't take anything from him! Fact is, he WON it, which I can't say for the daft and inconsistent Voyeurski!

At least if my memory serves me right, you GAYnners never succeeded in trashing him throughout his reign in Chelsea!! If that don't make him 'all that', I don't know what does!!! grin

Loyika, get your fingers out of tolotolo's pussy and concentrate BOY!!!!!! angry
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by HotRazorr: 5:52pm On Oct 09, 2007
By the way Loyika, why don't you go beg Mr. Tinubu for pardon for shagging his wife, so your fugitive status would be lifted. undecided
I don't like this idea of your running off to hide every evening when I'm just starting wiv ya! undecided

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by jejelolatu(f): 7:43pm On Oct 09, 2007
i read thru post on this thread and i couldnt help wondering if this is another arsenal thread. grin grin grin grin grin

me thinks wenger and the boys are giving rival clubs serious cause for worry.
the scummies may make noise, now that they have found their scoring form but nov3 will most definitely put an end to that.

as for the chelsea ambassadors ,they dont have any bragging rights whatsoever, they struggled to get a win over bolton, without drogba in the chelsea side ,nothing much for them, chelski fans wouldnt want to imagine wat might befall them during the nations cup when they would have to play without drogba and essien .

@Jackal

Who do you think was Chelsea'a best signing this season? I personally am finding it difficult to decide between Belletti and Malouda. undecided

At some point I thought it was Malouda, then Joe Cole and SWP picked up form and outshined him, then Belletti came on board and I'm now confused cause Ferreira seems determined to give him a run for that shirt. grin
So between Belleti and Malouda, who do you think would do better for Chelsea this season?

And in United, despite you guys thinking Tevez would be your ace this season, I k'inda think Nani has something up his sleeve. undecided
Who do you think would be your biggest surprise this season? And are you very confident that Apache won't flop at some point? grin  Wouldn't mind seeing that. . .
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 9:00pm On Oct 09, 2007
@ Lordimpaq,

Dont tell me u don't know i am based in the UK.
I am UK through and through and can't wait to see u in London if u come around.
Maybe i will lure u to GUNchester and show the Mancs your post on Nairaland.
Lets see if u will have the gall to call em SCUMMIES in their faces tongue tongue tongue tongue tongue

@ Razorr,

I hate to say this but Belletti, Malouda and Alex are brilliant signings.
The only snag is how Avram Grant would use em to get the best out of them.
Malouda is an ace although not as creative and versatile as Robben but he is direct, has got balance, skills and drive to support strikers.
Look at the way he stole a march on Ferdinand at the Shield game . . .Arjen Robben would have dived in his shoes.
Belletti and Alex are also good squad players . . . . .They will come good in the winter when fixtures get heavy and injuries/fatigue sets in.

In Man Utd . . . . .Pheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so happy Fergie signed Nani and Anderson . . . . .You can tell they've got potentials considering the last game.
Tevez is also a wonderful addition and he wont be far from the PFA player of the season by May 2008.
These players just need time to acclimatize to the English game and things would gel when they get their suave on.
With what i have seen so far . . . . .United and Chelsea are still the favourites to pinch the title.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by HotRazorr: 9:11pm On Oct 09, 2007
@Jackal

Are you very sure about Alex? I love the guy, but I'm not too comfortable with his lack of pace. I've seen him make a couple of mistakes in some of our matches, hence our conceeding goals. A friend of mine once said there's one rule about buying defenders - Never buy a Brazillian defender! undecided I don't share this sentiment, but my problem with Alex is his lack of pace and considering that Terry has been stuttering of late, its been a problem. Sometimes, an attacker would just breeze past him and he'ld just freeze! shocked And Haim isn't any better. I love Alex's attackmindedness, but if he could just borrow some of Carvalho's attributes(i.e. speed and flexibility) he'd be just perfect in ma opinion.

What about Steven Sidwell? I love the young chap. kiss Very hardworking! But what do you think?

By the way, have you written Hargreaves off for this season? I have this funny feeling that he is Saha's half brother. grin Maybe Saha's Dad shagged Hargreaves mum before his birth without Owen's pop knowing cause they seem to have the same k'inda(weak) genes. grin cheesy Whatchu think? undecided
