Dozie730: Since this round of 16 in Brazil 2014 world cup,I have noticed that countries whose names are written on the right hand side in www.goal.com always end up losing the match no matter how good they play, have someone else also noticed the same here,I foresee Nigeria losing if they appear on the R.H.S strictly my opinion and observation.
. LmaO, so u don't kno names on RHS is the away team? LHS is home team, all Group leaders are automatic home team in d tornament, therefore nigeria will def be on d R.H.S....dat doest play football tho, I believe we can win, if we loose either still doesn't change a thing to me sha...Shine* on

vicenzo:

Mikel's pass accuracy against Argentina according to whoscored.com was 84%, he is not top notch, but he is not poor as you people want to paint him.

Pass accuracy of 84% happens when 84% of your passes are harmless back-pass! That's not what Mikel was placed on the field for. Pull up his stats for assists, shots at goal, shots on target, aerial battles won then you'll see the worst stat ever in the history of football!

We're really going to miss Babatunde. I was thinking Keshi will fill that void with a like-to-like substitution; (this is where Mba would have come in) instead of opting for Moses who plays on the flank while the midfield is left open.

All the same, I still believe in the SE.

Can the sun/heat do the trick for us?

France coach Didier Deschamps believes Nigeria will be better equipped to handle the sweltering heat of Brazilia when the countries contest a World Cup last-16 tie on Monday.

The French played all of their Group E games at either 1600 or 1700 local time, winning two and drawing one while scoring eight goals in the process.

They will now face the Super Eagles in an earlier kick-off, and Deschamps is concerned that temperatures are expected to hit 30 degrees Celsius in the Brazilian capital.

"Yes, the heat worries me," Deschamps coach told a press conference.

"Nigerians are naturally more adapted to heat.

"The match is at a different time so over the last three days we have been trying to adapt to this schedule by changing our food.

"You need to manage these problems. Yesterday we saw the Brazilians and Chileans after their (early) match finished and they were very tired."
