There are no much difference, it's just mostly on the thickness of each. For me the best amongst them are the ones you review online via there model number.

There are none for now(48"-49"wink the only one you can get from 2013 and above with satellite is 47" LG with model 47LN5400. The satellite TV helps you get free to air stations via a dish with no decoder and no need to for subscription. You may get Ghanaian and few DStv channels. Thanks

I don't deal with Thomson tv much, I sense that it may be a screen function problem if it does have a one OR a screen problem if it doesn't have a screen function. Have you taken it to a technician?
