Its takes two cars from d car park to travel a distance of one-hundredth of the product of d distance covered by both cars a duration of d rate of d distance of d first car with that of d second car in hours. If d first car travels at a speed twice its distance while d second car travels at a speed two-seventh of its distance. Calculate d distance covered by both cars?Its takes two cars from d car park to travel a distance of one-hundredth of the product of d distance covered by both cars a duration of d rate of d distance of d first car with that of d second car in hours. The first sentence implies that the two cars travel at the same speed since it states that they both cover a certain distance in the same time interval.
Say distance covered by the first car is x, and distance covered by the second car is y.
From the second sentence, speed of the first car would be 2x and that of the second car, 2y/7. Hence, 2x = 2y/7,
x = y/7..........eqn(i)

Back to the first sentence, distance travelled in x/y hrs equals xy/100. But distance equals speed * time.
Therefore, xy/100 = 2x * x/y
y/100 = 2x/y......eqn(ii)
By substituting y/7 for x
y/100 = 2(y/7)/y
y/100 = 2y/7y
y/100 = 2/7
y = 200/7 = 28.6 units.
x = y/7 = 28.6/7 = 4.1 units.
Therefore, the first car covers a distance of 4.1 units and the second car covers a distance of 28.6 units.
