Lol, well, maybe Keshi thought his game would pick up eventually. Balotelli scored for Italy in their first game and was largely anonymous afterwards, but he started Italy's games. Besides, who on the bench could have replaced Mikel? We saw Ramon Azeez against Iran and Uchebo against Argentina. Remember the USA friendly? Mikel was subbed and the middle fell apart.
