good morning guys...
I know it's been long but I have a question as regards herbal shower gel cry
So I got the materials(most of them @ onitsha) before coming home for holiday....
Yesterday I got the reat of the materials and wanted to prepare the soap...but I realised that I don't know which is which...but decided to carry on base on street smart grin
I noticed one of the ingredients was in a small container (its white and when I made the mistake of sniffing it,i got a sharp odour which reminded me of amonia cry) when I added it to the soap the smell was strong and choking...
Can anybody tell me what it is?
I suspect omi aro (still don't know the english name)...who have produced the shower gel? What is the colour of that omi aro?...is it in liquid form or solid powder?

Heyllo Igboks, I posted a picture of the "omi aro" somewhere here. Please, check through the pages where blacksoap was treated.

And don't tell me you once sniffed ammonia directly. Hahahha.
O my! I can imagine the experience.

The trick is, you don't smell chemicals directly. You place it far from your nose and use your hand to fan (blow) air from the container. Even such practices isn't really save for some chemicals, though we are not dealing with such strong chemical at our level here.

Strongbest:
COST OF MATERIALS

-Sulphurnic acid----------1/2 litre (N450)

-Caustic soda-----------------1/2 kg (N90)

-Soda ash----------------------1/2 kg (N90)

-Nitrosol-----------------------1/8 kg (N250)

-Coloor---------------------1Sachet(N50)

-STTP----------------------1/4 kg (N50)

-SLS--------------------------1/8 kg (N190)

Perfume-------------------(N100) depends on the type you are going for.

The above cost is given based on the least quantity of materials you can buy or that some sellers might agree to sell to you.
Also note that, you only need little out of the materials to do your assignment. You can keep your remaining chemicals for future use.

Thanks.

Good day Mr. Strongbest (Thank you for the useful knowledge you have been sending out) and fellow trainees. I decided to start my liquid soap production today, so I went to the market (at Alaba Suru) today and got far higher prices then the ones above.

Nitrosol-------------------------- 1/8kg(N500)
Sulphonic acid------------------ I litre(N750)
Soda ash------------------------ 1/2kg(N100)
Caustic soda-------------------- 1/4kg(N100)
STPP----------------------------- 1/4kg(N100)
Perfume------------------------- N100
Texapon------------------------- 1/4kg(N350)
Colour--------------------------- N50
SLS------------------------------ N100

Should I go ahead with the purchase or are they exorbitant if am to make a good profit? What are the current prices at other markets like Ojota etc? Are there subtle but salient things that I should note while buying the chemicals?

Mr. Strongbest and anybody who have an answer, pls respond so that I won't start telling stories that touch.

COMPARATIVE PRICE ANALYSIS:
IN EKET, AKWA IBOM I got the same quantity of chemicals this month, September, 2016:
Natrosol - 1/8kg (N500)
Sulphonic Acid - 1L (N900)
Soda Ash - 1/2kg (N150)
Caustic Soda - 1/4kg (N150)
STPP - 1/4kg (N150)
Perfume - 30ml (N250)
Texapon - 1/4kg (N300)
Colour - 1wrap (N100)
SLS - 1/4kg (N150)

IN OSOGBO, OSUN STATE, I got same quantity of chemicals this month at the rate of:
Natrosol - 1/8kg (N400)
Sulphonic Acid 1L (N600)
Soda Ash - 1/2kg (N90)
Caustic Soda - 1/4kg (N100)
STPP - 1/4kg (N75)
Perfume - 30ml (N250)
Texapon - 1/4kg (N250)
Colour - 1wrap (N50)
SLS - 1/4kg (N100)
So if you compare the prices you were given with two price regime that I have presented you will see that there is no significant difference. Whether you will make profit or "good profit" depend on the pricing model for your products. I produce: Liquid detergent, Bar Soap, Germicide, Air Freshener, and Bleach. And I am making good profit irrespective of how much and where I buy my chemicals. Set your Business Canvas Model straight.

Heyllo Sir @Coach1, the price you quoted above is an old price list. There's a slight in increase in the prices of things right now but not so high.

Please check the Osogbo- Osun State price given by Oduok, it's the most accurate. If you get it higher that anywhere, you may consider looking else where. Ojota chemical market is where you'll get the right price but always check the big stores for your chemicals.

Thanks.

Re: Free Skill Acquisition E-Center by Strongbest(m): 1:52pm On Sep 30, 2016
About 90-92 % diabetic cases are as a result of the kind of food and drink we consume and the manner in which they are consumed daily. So, in our seminars for the aged (Life style for the aged) we usually give recipes for both drinks and foods that can help manage the case and help them live healthy.

If we have the knowledge of the cause of diabetes then is safe to say we can prevent it. This is why we've also started extending our invitation to the youths.

If I have the grace, I will be posting some lessons from our seminars here but I'm also considering opening a new thread for that. Anyhow, let's just see how it goes.

If you remember in the free ebook I sent to us sometimes ago (Herbal treatment for Diabetes), I talked briefly on the 3 types of diabetes. Hope you read through though.

None of the 2 jumped on us for no reason. It's all due to our life style.

A healthy life style involves lots of exercises and good choice of foods, I mean, eating healthy /right foods.

To keep thing short: we'll be focusing on drinks first.

Diabetic patients are usually advised to keep off sugary drinks and foods generally.

According to WHO (World Health Organization), the level of sugar intake per day for men is 30g, and for women 24g.

That means, you need to watch every food you eat everyday in order not to exceed the expected level of sugar intake per day.

We need to all understand that though the fresh fruit juices are by far better than processed ones, truth is that they still contain fructose that can lead to increase in blood glucose level.

Some of the fruits are even best eaten raw (directly) than extracting the juice for consumption.

Kindly stay tuned.

Thanks.

Heyllo Sir, lumps is one thing I hate to see in soap: it's so unprofessional!

Tips:

1. Always add nitrosol to water and not water to nitrosol.

2. Use enough water to dissolve your nitrosol. For instance, 1 spoonful of nitrosol should be dissolved with at least, 1 litre of water.

3. Stir along as you add the nitrosol. You may sprinkle the nitrosol lightly on the water and stir continuously till you exhaust the nitrosol.

Remember, our aim is to lower your blood sugar level while enjoying the juice hence the need to avoid anything that hinders your recovery.

Little drop of original honey as sweetener to the above recipe wouldn't have been a bad idea but I want us to play safe for the sake or fear of those who may over do things and also the fear of too much fake honey out there.

So, let's play safe and stick to what heals you.
