Lagos - President of the Nigeria Football Federation Aminu Maigari has been arrested, according to reports reaching News24 Nigeria.

Maigari and some board members in sight were whisked away on Friday morning by security operatives shortly after touching down in Abuja from Brazil.

On Thursday, Maigari and his entire board were sacked by a recent court order that restrain them from acting as administrators of the NFF.

The suit was filed by former Nigeria Premier League chairman Rumson Baribote, who requested the court to restrain Maigari and all the committee and congress of the NFF from managing the affairs of football matters in Nigeria.

Hon. Justice P. L Lot of the Plateau State High Court sitting in Jos granted the Order of Interlocutory Injunction restraining the president of the NFF, the executive committee members as well as the NFF Congress from running affairs of Nigerian football pending the determination of the Motion on Notice before the court.

Mumu, in the world u live in, if your team loses a football match, they should be arrested. Nigeria is just an average team that displayed an average performance. Even the current world champs, Spain and soccer power houses like England as well as Italy crashed out of the group stages. U guys should leave our boys alone, they did their best, they are a bunch of average footballers.

After their return from Brazil World cup, the Super Eagles were
so ashamed of their defeat that they decided to disguise
themselves so as not to be recognized. Mikel disguised himself
as a monk and was walking on the street when suddenly an old
lady walked up to him and said "Mikel how far na?". Mikel was
