Today I will discuss briefly on maintaining good egg production during rainy season.. Good thing about the season is birds eat more, bad thing is production flunctuates. Why? Basically because of shorter daylength. Solution is to maintain 16 hours of daylength or lighting, up to 17 hours may be beneficial. Expect to see improvement in production within 48 to 72 hours. Give heat based on environmental temperature not only at night. By three weeks, chicks should be able to. Regulate body temperature without the need for supplemental heat. However, chick behaviour should be the ultimate guide as to use of supplemental heat. It should be noted that chicks are prone to respiratory tract infection during rainy season
