A website with various Businesses (general business directory from resturants to health services to entertainment businesses) or a website with a Nightlife directory focus (clubs, restaurants, bars, lounges etc) Would love to get honest opinions from you |

I thought V-Connect and some googling would achieve both results? |

Nothing stops you from doing both in one website |

Funny thing is whenever i search for listings v connect does not exactly pop up much. Not exactly a complete yellow page site in the sense that it doesn't consider proximity in its default search setting. thanks @ codehouse.... @ spikes, much regards bro, the Nightlife idea is just to make the website specialized for something, a site everybody knows lists hangout spots not necessarily everything... u dig |

@op true but I see a lot of people going straight to V-connect to do their search (just as you don't go to google to search for google, hope u get my drift), that's my point and that it is because they've been in business for a long time now and have started TV advert already and you know anything on TV sells. That, however, does not stop you from competing anyway, Cheers |

True, nothing stops me from competing , but its tough. whats your take on being specialized? Not listing everything just hangout spots around, much viable idea in your opinion? |

chrisbaba1: Well, building a directory for today's people should go beyond "specialization" as you cannot predict human want. If it were some other site then you can be talking of specialization, just as I can't go to car website to order for burger. A car site is a specialized kind of site but yes you can decide to go for options A or B. Pause and think, it will take thesame code to implement both, so I go with @SpikesC |

As popular as google is som ppl are pissed with it. Theyre other even recent search engines. So if youve got d chops bring it on-variety is cream on d latte. Vconnects marketg budget may crush yours though. Besides, how does vconnect make its money? |
