Another title by Luma Arcade, Bladeslinger is a fast-paced third-person action brawler for high-end mobile and tablet devices where players must defeat multiple enemies at once in both ranged and close combat.
Set in a dystopic alternate future in the fictional town of Hammer’s Peak, the narrative follows William Glaston as he returns home after many years of war to find his home town has undergone nightmarish changes.


4. Pocket RPG (Android and iTunes)
Developed by Tasty Poison Games and published by Crescent Moon Games, Pocket RPG whisks you off to a world overrun by hordes of monsters. Explore trap-filled dungeons and face mighty bosses. Collect piles of treasure and items and invest in dozens of abilities and unlockable equipment. Test your skills against the oncoming darkness.
Each quest in Pocket RPG is a new adventure. The hero starts at level zero with an empty sachel and collects items and rapidly builds their strength to dizzying proportions. 6. Dark Project (Android)
Dark Project has been brought to life by South African-based developer Dark Faction Games. Play as a star trooper who has been sent to investigate the disappearance of a research team sent to the planet Deltora in order to determine the possibility of the planet being inhabitable. Upon you’re arrival, you soon learn that something has gone horribly wrong, and need to face the darkness equipped with a variety of weapons as well as your trusty flashlight and search for the team fighting off mutants and zombies.


7. Snailboy (Android and iOS)
Snailboy is a rather impressive game developed by Cape Town-based Thoopid Games. Snailboy is an entertaining physics based/puzzle platform game. The game has some great graphics for a mobile game and also packs in over 45 levels of intoxicating game play.


8. Ma Hauchi (Java)
Ma Hauchi is pretty simply game to play; however, it is pretty addictive. You play as a Nigerian Hunter, who has been tasked to bring down as many vultures as you can with you bow and arrow. Simple, addictive and well designed. Lagos-based development studio, Kuluya has over 100 mobile games under their belt; however, Ma Hauchi is one that shines.


9. Fleet of One (Android and iOS)
Fleet of One reminds me a lot of Space Invaders. You play as a spaceship armed with five cannons used to blast the fleet of oncoming retro style aliens. Instead of manoeuvring your ship to dodge these aliens, your ship fills the bottom of the screen. To fire the cannons, you simply tap the one you wish to fire. If an alien manages to get off a shot before you can destroy it, you have the option to shield your cannon by swiping up. This title was developed by South African-based developer, Polymorph.


10. Orisha (Windows Phone)
Orisha has been developed by Lagos-based developer, Gamesole. Orisha is a game that is aimed at casual players; however, it can become extremely addictive. The game features a variety of levels as well as colourful and attractive graphics. While it is not the most in-depth game out there, it is a great way to kill time.
