On the inauguration day of ManUtd the following quotes were written to mark the birth of an institution Manchester United F.C at the Old Trafford arena, and I quote:-

As football ground it is unrivalled in the world of football, it’s a honor to the City of Manchester and the home of a great team who can do wonders when they are so well disposed”

These above Quotes were written on the Manchester United F.C (ManU Old Trafford’s) opening day in the year 1910. Manchester United F.C (ManU) had just moved from their old stadium across Bank Street, in Clayton, to a new stadium in Old Trafford area of West Manchester also known as THE THEATER OF DREAMS.

 Manchester United MANU F.C History From (1878–1945)

 Manchester United Football Club aka MAN UTD FC as an institution was formed and inaugurated in the year 1878 as Newton Heath LYR Football Club by Carriage and Wagon departments of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway depot at the Newton Heath. The team played their games against other departments and also rail companies at their home ground at the North Road, but by the year 1888 the club had become one of the founding members of Combination, a regional football league meant for all the football teams around.

Therefore, Newton Heath had to join the newly formed Football Alliance which ran for exactly three seasons before being merged with the nations Football League. This finally resulted in the club resuming the 1892–93 season in the national First Division, by this time it had become an independent of the rail company it was previously under, in the clubs early transformation, the club dropped the “LYR” from its name and had to move to a new ground at Bank Street. Just two seasons later, the club was relegated to the national Second Division.
