I bought a tokunbo peugeot 307 and it came wt factory 205/50 r16 tyre and i noticed that the movement of the vehicle is nt as smooth as my old golf mk3 wt 185/70 r14 tyre.It doesn't absorb pot holes even the little ones and my shocks are okay confirmed by d mechanic. My question is that should i migrate to higher profile tyres and reduce the rim size to 15, does high profile tyres makes the vehicle more smooth in driving expecially against bumps and pot holes.? |

My car came wt 195/50 r15 and its a golf mk3,i changed the whole tyres to 195/60 r15 and noticed that my fuel economy has dropped and it hits the underneath of my car whenever i entered a bump wt loads at the back. i hv no choice than to go back to my former factory spec bt getting the factory size of 195/50 r15 in new tyres is hard. |

Different car makers different handling get used to it (assuming your tires are good). By the way you switched from a German machine to a Peugeot. |

Check your tyre pressure, its probably over-inflated. Changing your tyre size while over-inflating them makes no difference. I am personally uncomfortable with tyres with high side walls. |
