One of our readers sent us a mail seeking to know if Cortana could be installed on her Tecno R7 smartphone. Well, the response was pretty clear; currently it’s impossible.

However, the question about Cortana having an appearance in Android and iOS was raised to Microsoft's Marcus Ash. Like you would expect, the primary priority and focus is Cortana being effective on Windows Phones Marcus said.

There was no definite answer suggesting that Cortana will never be available on Android and iOS phones, this could mean leaving the door open for Microsoft's virtual personal assistant to make an appearance in these devices sometime in the future.

"As a company, Microsoft is putting work into solving the question, and it isn't afraid to put its apps on competing platforms. After all, there's Office on Android and iOS, Bing, and others. For our money, it makes a lot more sense for Microsoft to release Cortana across multiple ecosystems rather than tying the service down as a Windows Phone exclusive. It's not the kind of feature that sells phones (similarly, we don't think that Siri on its own sells iPhones, either.)" - Marcus Ash continued.

Cortana is currently available on Windows Phone 8.1, Microsoft is also working out ways to see a release of the virtual personal assistant on Windows and Xbox gaming system.

dats a lie.....google released d app sometime ago and brought it down again from d windows store so it has nothing to do with WP os..... WP does av video players too and even a movie maker.....y is dere no google plus, gmail or google map too??
