We have over a zillion 'pastors' in the world today all claiming to be called by God while setting up separate congregations and worship structures each complete with it's own mode of worship, understanding of the bible, aims and objectives and of course bank accounts.

In this context I want Pastors of the house to confirm if and why God called them and especially why they felt the need to separate from the 'brethren' and form other congregations.

Well, fact is that God can use/call anybody. There is no doubt that the ministerial/pastoral office especially in Nigeria has, for the most part, been politicised. Jesus the good shepherd, was the pastor of humility and self-effacing meekness.

I can't understand what you're trying to twist here. You just called it "ministry gift" or "office". The man is already called just as every Christian, he was just given a gift to function in ministry. Is that a special calling?

The same thing I'm saying - Every Christian is already called including the pastors. The pastoral function is a gifted function given by Christ to the church, just as someone gifted to teach the word. So, every Christian is called but not every Christian is a teacher. Those who are e.g teachers, are gifted by Christ to do so.

Again, you're twisting this plain English. He didn't say the "called as" apostles. It is the same apostles, prophets, teachers etc that is being repeated which was stated as gifts of Christ to the church in the verse above. They are all called already but the scripture said, "set some in the church" that is, they're gifted, set apart unto a particular gift which they will function in, they're sent...within their calling to be what they're gifted to do. The verse you quoted kept saying, gift (have all the GIFT of healing?) but you kept saying that's the calling.

What do you think/say or what does scripture say about the Spirit of Discernment?. How can we neglect this spirit and fleshly sought out for others like spirit of prophecy, knowledge etc, why why why?.........what happened to the spirit of discernment??
