ninoRico: Individually Messi is better than any player the Germans have. But collectively the Germans are better as a team. In modern football teamwork wins games. Gone are the days when one player will dribble the whole team to score. |

abatically: of course i know. The idea of Messi winning a world cup in addition to all his accolades is a romantic one.Germany couldnt beat Algeria in normal time but spanked Brazil, they might switch off today again, who knows. |

ninoRico: Ha ha ha, messi's world cup indeed. Told u football is no longer by individual brilliance but by team performance. Even maradona will struggle against this German team. Gone are the days when a player will dribble from his own half to score. Messi couldn't even dribble 2 players (not like he has been dribbling for some time now anyway). Modern football is technical, defenders are smarter. |

abatically: lol...he didnt play well.Individual brilliance can still win matches in my opinion, but Messi hasnt been brilliant since after the group stages. Was feeling he might just spark today. |
