There is power in unity. We dont understand how dignifing it is for this whole nation to appear as a country. Some of the world powers are afraid of what we could metamorphosise into, possible world power. Imagine the product the possible product of this division. We need to think right. Us is bigger than Nigeria. Do you think that if they divide now, they will still be the world power? Lets think right. 5 Likes |

Our influence would be felt worldwide as an entity. Our economic prowess is manifesting. The first black skinned country emerging as a superpower. We are African last hope! I prefer each regions in Nigeria becoming an "Autonomous republic" rather than a separate country. We must keep our name, Nigeria! No matter the difference, no matter the circumstances. Alas! This can not be feasible as long as there are people out there who would blame a whole tribe, religion for an act committed by a few. As long as there are people who would choose the option of "Ethnic Profiling". I am afraid one Nigeria is no longer feasible, i have lost all hope. Let us go our separate ways. Everyone should keep their resources to themselves. Everyone should focus on making his/her new country an envy of many others. The good thing about the separation is that it would let everyone discovered their hidden potential. No countries that splits would ever want to be less developed than the other. They would be rivalry within the 3 new countries and that would be healthy for them. Just like Pakistan, India and Bangladesh, North and South Korea, Serbia, Bosnia & Croatian etc No countries that are product of separation will ever want to be ridiculed. It would be a shame if you separate and can't stand on your feet. A cold war will emerge between these countries. If Biafra launch one satellite, Arewa would launch two. Like i said before this rivalry would be good for all the countries. Nigeria is known for its porous borders but not any more! After the separation a fly won't be able to cross from the South to the North and verse versa. Our borders would be far secured than that of North and South Korea. 13 Likes |

It is not the size or population or resources that makes a nation Super power but the internal love amongst the people and their strong action zeal to be among the best. The fact is So many ethnic groups in Nigeria will do all that it takes to hinder others from achieving success. When Nigeria breaks up, Biafra will catch up with the rest of the world within 20 years. As for others, I have little faith in them achieving anything worthwhile but again I might be veryyyyyy wrong. 6 Likes |

EasternLeopard: Everybody knows the region that love to pull down their own. That ingredient of love you talk about is missing in the heart of Ibos, that is why they blame everyone fore the all their problems but themselves. This country can't move forward when all we do is point fingers as championed by Igbos. The same would likely happen in your Biafra when the Anambra Ibo will begin to see the Imo Ibo as responsible for his woes. It sucks to be Ibo. 3 Likes |

lygn19: What you fail to realize is that this break up will enable Arewa to develop it's huge deposits of natural resources like gold, uranium etc. and will facilitate the emergence of technocrat administrators as there will be no more 'free money' that makes governance so attractive to our old corrupt leaders. 3 Likes |

lygn19: After independence, Nigeria was moving to a greater height with the regional govt untill the Igbo majors strucked, then the Ibo general, instead of appointing a new prime minister decided to take over the govt, ofcourse with support of the Ibo acting president. That general refused to prosecute coupist, we all know why, abolished the regional govt, .........you know the rest of the story. Igbos laid the foundation of injustice in Nigeria. 4 Likes |

Finally, a chance for the north to capitalize on and develop it's God-given human resource and huge land mass devoid of erosion and ritualists. An opportunity to return to Agriculture and revive manufacturing like in the glory days of Kaduna Textile Factories, Cement Factory of Northern Nigeria, Kano Mills, Leather Factories, Dairy Farms, Groundnut Pyramids and many, many more. I'm glad that Atiku has started with his plastics and beverage factory in Adamawa. 3 Likes

fellow nigerians, i urge u all to think deeply before u wish for anything. most especially as it concern this issue of break up. i can recall, it was an american newspaper that first made d prediction and ever since then this issue has been growing out of proportion. my take is dat the west c a united nigeria as a threat now and in d future because we as a country have a dominating prospect in sub saharan africa and in d world at large. we have come a long way and only nigerians will lose if this prediction coes to pass. its time u look before u leap think about it nigeria together forever |

lygn19: The emergence of 'free-money' from crude oil exploitation diverted attention from agriculture. For your second question, look up from bigoted reports and actually do some research and you will find out that the north is blessed with professionals in all fields. The Alumni of ABU Zaria is a good starting point. The north trains the best pilots in Nigeria at the College of Aviation Technology in Zaria. Don't rely on the reports you read when the perpetual complainants start their cries of marginalization and come up with c0ck and bull stories to make their lies easier to swallow. 2 Likes |
