there's no training institute that runs the CCNA DATA CENTER program. cos there's no demanding market for it yet. so if you want to study for it,you have to study on your own. Get materials online( pdf ,videos and simulator ) .then get some to guide you in case you have any challenge. am presently studying for the ccie data center.

Pls, I need clarifications here:
(1) What's the difference between CCNA&CCNP certifications and CCNA DATA CENTER PROGRAME? I thought they'll issue someone that completed both CCNA&CCNP with all the CCNA &CCNP even CCNA DATA PROGRAME Certificates?
(2) Also, I wrote NIIT Scholarship test few weeks ago in Imo state,now d result is out and I got an A++, and was told 2 pay 150K for the CISCO CCNA & CCNP to start d training wit them.
(3) Please, Is the price not too costly..??

(1) CCNA is Cisco Certified Network Associate - Level 1 while CCNP is Cisco Certified Network Professional - Level 2.

(2) There are different tracks in Networking ( ROuting & Switching, Voice, Design, Wireless, Security, Data Center, Service Provider, Video ) and these tracks have different levels 1,2,3. The general/common one is ROuting & Switching. So you dont get a Certificate for Data Center when u studied and take the Routing and Switching Track.

(3) You cant place a price on knowledge. You have to look at the options available to you over there and the finances you have access to. Then u can think about it if its costly or not

Tanx alot Bro for Ur kind contribution.. I am kind of sick and tired of always looking 4 jobs evry wia... Since Oct. 2013 dat I passed out of service,I've not yet secured any job... So I want 2 see how gud I can add values 2 my career prospect and at least be self employed... @chekolatunji you can go to our website www.iiht.com/nigeria . whatever track you want to take in cisco just make sure you get hands on training. If its CCNA make sure you actually configure things like HSRP, netflow, etc. thats the new syllables. Make sure you know how to connect the cisco router to the internet, set it up as a dhcp server , dns server etc. if you want to do voice make sure you actually configure the cisco ip phones with the 2811 cme router and also configure the cucm 8.6 server. make sure you understand a bit of network analysis with wireshark and your familiar with ccp. if you want to go into datacenters get access to the cisco unified computing system and nexus 7k switches. no matter how many videos you watch believe me watching videos and actually configuring them live are two different things. I am into cisco voice, rs and datacenter and also microsoft server 2012 and office365 and i can tell you if you know your onions there is a market out there. networking has really changed from a few years back and we all have to keep up. learn alot about virtualization, application centric infrastructure and software defined networking. wish you the best bro.

CCENT is level 1 - Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician, CCNA is level 2, and CCNA has different paths you can take (as you mentioned).

Nigeria has a lot of great teachers in this kind of thing

the CCNP programme is more involved and the exams are more difficult. There is TSHOOT, Route and Switch. To me, Tshoot is the most difficult of the CCNP exams. Having a CCNA is good, CCNP is great. CCIE, though you get bragging rights in my opinion is overkill.

Do you mean can a CCNA be used in the banking sector? Absolutely, CCNA is a very important Networking Certification. To me, CCNA R&S is the most important CCNA to get, depending on what the company may be looking for, you may also want to specialise in CCNA Voice, CCNA Security and CCNA Wireless (CCNA Wireless is mainly to scale the network). CCNA R&S is an absolute must though. CCNA Voice and CCNA Security are beginning to be more important though. But definitely get a CCNA R&S.

CCNA is useful at the bank and any small scale to enterprise company. but u should look beyond CCNA. cos CCNA is just the beginning of the journey

CCENT is the beginning of the journey sir.

CCNA and experience is quite fine these days. CCNP is great. CCIE is overkill.
