Nigeria will continue to suffer regression in world football (not a curse but a fact) because of poor management of the talents that are actually discovered quite young on these shores. News (depressing at that) from the weekend indicates that Ezekiel Imoh, a promising striker at Standard Liege in Belgium has signed for a Qatari club.

When are we going to have separation between govt and mngt, so proper football authorities run things? No matter the leadership of the country, nff should have a clear identity. So when we have young talent, their career can be guided to big clubs that help the kid grow, not allow them to play in inferior leagues and stifle their own development.

But when the talent level is compromised by over age players and then mismanaged, not because of ineptitude, but because of greed and corruption, then you get where Nigerian youth football is, aneamic.
