“Help your brother’s boat across, and your own will reach the shore.” The above is an old Hindu saying, and it rightly stands as "Having a brother grow up with you, you have someone to lean on, someone to count on, someone to tell on, or in this case, someone to play your first game with." There have been several brothers in the history of the game who have both made it large in their life, from winning a domestic league together to seeing their other half leave their club. In this article, we take a look at football’s most popular brothers: The Bender Brothers #15. Lars Bender and Sven Bender Nationality: German Age: Both of them are 25 years old. The German twins have a lot of things similar, Lars Bender and Sven Bender were both born in 27th of April 1989 as twins, and the duo have a lot in common other than the club they represent. Both of them are defensive midfielders, and have represented Germany at the highest level even though they couldn’t make a cut for the squad that triumphed in the FIFA World Cup Brazil recently. After starting their professional careers at 1860 München, the brothers parted ways after offers started coming in. Currently, Lars plays for Bayer Leverkusen, and is one of their marquee players with over 127 first team appearances. On the other hand, his brother, Sven plays for Borussia Dortmund with over 100 appearances for the Black and Yellows. They were both part of the squad that was victorious in the UEFA Under 19 championship back in 2008.

The Da-Silva Twins #9. Rafael da Silva and Fabio da Silva Nationality: Brazil Age: Both of them are 24 years old. The duo has often drawn comparison to the Neville brothers, and given their young age, you could still say that they could go onto be as successful as the Neville brothers were.
