Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) , on Sunday reacted to the decision by the Peoples ’ Democratic Party ( PDP) gubernatorial candidate , Senator Iyiola Omisore to shun the radio debate organized last weekend , saying he ( Omisore) is afraid to confront Governor Aregbesola . The party in a statement by its Director of Publicity , Research and Strategy , Barrister Kunle Oyatomi , described the reason adduced by Senator Omisore for failing to attend as “ the wisdom of a fool ” . Senator Omisore who also spoke through his media aid , Diran Odeyemi , said he is superior to Governor Rauf Aregebsola by his academic record , with Ph . D in his kitty , and that before he would attend such debate , Governor Aregbesola must produce his certificate . According to the APC, “ Omisore had reportedly claimed that he was supposedly superior to Governor Rauf Aregbesola which made it a match ‘ between two unequal parties ’, and inferred that the ‘weaker of the two parties may resort to physical assault and harassment . “ It is disheartening that this remark came after the event at which Aregbesola was majestic and at home with facts and figures on how his administration had prudently managed the economy of the state . “ Omisore sounded mean and shallow when he tried to denigrate Aregbesola ’s academic qualification that the governor ‘ presented O ’ Level ( certificate) to INEC ’ but for the foolishness embedded in that piece of information is that Omisore’s current certificate presented to INEC was a court affidavit in place of his primary and secondary school certificates . http://dailyindependentnig.com/2014/07/osun-apc-berates-omisore-debate/ 1 Like |
