Sydney sheldon started writing long before grisham.
therefore he wrote more books and more people read his books
but Grisham out of no where, hit the scene with A time to kill and the blockbuster , The firm.
Since then, no one saw his back again.
like i said, writing about everything is very easy.
writing about one thing  and developing that subject is harder, yet grisham makes legal thriller look easy.
i have all sheldon books and all grisham books,
I read and sell sydney but i read and keep grishams.
got me,

sydney are for those who like fairtales, about how a one super hero killed everybody and jumped bombs, and destroyed building etc.
Grisham, you hardly hear a gun shot but you wont keep the book down.

i recommend THE CLIENT for you.

Lol at "i recommend the client for you". Iv read the client. and the testament. and dozen other grisham books. Thats why i cant help the ennui that washes over me when i see another one. The same feeling you get when you pick up a nigerian movie and you already know how its goin to go. Grisham only puts twists at the end of the story, Sidney keeps you on your toes throughout.

I will chose Grisham over sheldon any day
and i guess vice versa is the case with you on Sheldon over Grisham.

I heard that Sydney is a great novelist but because i've not read his book i'll give to to John Grisham. i read He's "Runaway Jury" and it was cool.

Achebe Yes.
Achebe has sense for great stories.
Soyinka confuses people.

Yea, Some people usually preferred stories like :
"And the girl with long legs and firm breast moved inside the house so fast."

Likewise me, I have every Grisham and Sheldon here at home.
As i am more comfortable at disposing Sheldons and lending them out,
The case is different from Grisham.
I Hardly give out my Grishams because i like reading them over and over again.
He hides humour all over the books which is what fictions are all about.
Sydney is good, but if i am to chose master spy teller, i will vote for Ludlum ahead of Sydney.

Skipping Xmas is not really a novel.
Its Childrens story. You need to search and read about the book ,
Pelican Brief is not boring, unless something else occupied your concentration while reading it.

I've read 16 of Grisham's novels and 18 of Sheldon's novels. And IMO, Sheldon just about edges it as the better writer.

Sidney Sheldon is genius!, I'm yet to read all his books though,

I have The Firm and The Pelican Brief lying in my shelf for about a year now and I've been ignoring them. They have never appealed 2 me for once. I don't really know y most ppl worship Grisham's books like idols. I was so disappointed after reading The Partner and The Summons. Sheldon is actually not my favourite, but I've always enjoyed his books, though he really fumbled at the conclusion of Master Of The Game.

Sheldon is head and shoulders above John Grisham. Sheldon has more imagination and uses more vivid characters. He keeps you on edge till the last page.

Grisham gets boring a lot and tends to run out of ideas towards the end of the book.
