Islamic Terrorism: The Religion Or Tribe? by Blackteeth(m): 7:43pm On Jul 31, 2014
I am wondering if Islamic extremism is about the religion or the tribe. A lot of us detest the Islamic religion because most terror acts have been perpetuated under the religion. If we take a close look at the situation it appears that a certain region or tribe has been the ones carrying out these grave offences.
Here in Nigeria there is only one tribe notable for violence under islam, and that is the Hausa/Fulani. We have so many Yoruba Muslims and very few Igbo Muslims, but they don't terrorize people under their religion.
Stepping out of Nigeria and into the global community, there is only region/tribe notable for Islamic extremism worldwide, and that is the Arabs in the middle east and north Africa. We have Indonesia as the worlds biggest Muslim country by population and do we really hear anything about bombs from there? We have turkey as a Muslim nation and when you go there it doesn't look like a Muslim nation. There are other nations harbouring muslims in Asia and we don't get any troubles from there. So is it really about the religion or tribe?
