OK, you were just speaking off point and I don't even know where to start from to reply you. If, you're trying to make a point, you have to do so intelligently. Op said she's being going through emotional abuse/hurt from her husband. ? You are here rambling about menopause and I don't see any correlation with the topic at hand. You know your problem? You can't just stand any female bad mouthing about a man, no matter what he did. To, you, it's always the ladies fault. And you carried this mentality into this thread, and here you are, saying/typing words that are confusing?
jpphilips:

Insensitive because the woman is sitting fat at home while the man has literary solved all her problems? cant you decipher the OP has no problem? If the landlord was on her neck to deliver while the school proprietress has given her 5 missed calls, would she rem her birthday?
No be her mates dey maiduguri dey hide from boko haram? if she was in that zone, would she rem her birthday?
Why do gals take birthday so seriously? an unfortunate event that brings them a year closer to Menopause is not worth celebrating.
Birthday celebration should be left for retirees and grannies who have crossed the hurdles of life, when is my birthday sef? mtchew!

Do I need to? Anyone that subjects a person to emotional abuse is not just insensitive, but also wicked.
franciskaine: why concluding without getting the full gist? Nawao! How on earth will u conclude the gentleman is insensitive without even hearing his own part of d story.

Re: My Hubby Is Emotionally Mean by mstik(f): 5:05pm On Aug 01, 2014
All this because I called a man 'insensitive'?
It's all right.
jnrbayano:

Keep calm and reason deep.

The Op "lamented" that her hubby is "emotionally mean" out of heartbreak. She has already evaluated the situation and come out with that adjective.

Now she wants you to advice her on how to ameliorate her hurt and possibly win her hubby back (reverse her hubby's emotionally mean status she has already given him)

She doesn't want you to begin another judgement/appraisal of the hubby and the situation, if she did, she wouldn't have called the hubby "emotionally mean". She would have told you the story as it happened (what offence she committed against the hubby and how hubby snubbed her and her birthday) and requires you to now judge the situation for her.

I don't expect you to agree with me, but issues about other people's marriages require wisdom to handle it well and not exuberance.

Abi o!

Me too. I no fit know that kain thing sef as I was born in a period before we started recording dates and years in Sagamu.

We used to use momentous occasions to gauge our birthday back then.

All I know was that I was born on a farm the day the half moon occurred for the third time after the Akarigbo of Sagamu, Oyebajo, was banished to Calabar. Before Adedoyin I was crowned the new Akarigbo.

All these modern funky funkies now want me to be recording and celebrating birthdays. Shior!

It is not in my tradition.

Here is my baby brother, the Alase Eri Orisaguamu Ewa (Chief Priest Sagamu River), who took up the familial society role of priests giving prayers to the big, big men of Sagamu. He has become one of the World's big boys due to his position.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P7ptV-APRjE

He was born 5 nights after Mr R.T. Minne was made the District Officer for Remo area. This appointment was a result of Martin Dale recommending to the colonial powers that Remo should be separated from Ijebu-Ode.
