Are you praying to God?

There are churches were weird things happen. If it is your first time you would probably think that maybe they are doing things right. You might think that maybe you don't pray hard enough, that maybe if you prayed harder and behaved like people in those churches then all your problems would be solved.
You have something bothering you, something that you believe might either be your own fault or from forces of the enemies.
You want a solution from God but it is not coming so you find yourself going to a church where you are not very comfortable but you believe somehow that you will find your peace.
Maybe if you pray harder or shout louder God will hear you better.
Do you think that God is deaf?

Jesus taught us how to pray.

Matthew 6:9-13English Standard Version (ESV)

“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.[a]
10 Your kingdom come,
your will be done,[b]
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread,[c]
12 and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.[d]

It's not that difficult. Any how you want to interprete this prayer, it did not speak to satan. It spoke to God and God only.

So why do you call satan when you pray?
Why do you call your enemies?

Why are you invoking satan and inviting him to your conversation with God?

You keep stomping on the ground and jumping and shouting like a lunatic just to cast away satan and your enemies. Why not use that time to talk gently to God.

If indeed we believe that we are children of God then the enemy cannot stand near us or interfere with our plans.

As children of God we are confident and strong in our faith. We work hard and prosper.

Laziness and excuses and expecting miracles that involve reaping where we did not sow is not a Christian behaviour.

If you want to ask your father or somebody you call your father for something will you shout at him?

If somebody wants something from you and they shout at you the way you shout at God, will you answer them?

Ask, Seek, Knock
(Luke 11:5-13)

7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

12Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Please let us use our heads and think. Let us stop behaving like animals.

If we indeed believe that we are children of God and that God made us in his image then we should imitate Christ and conduct ourselves with dignity.
