Don't even no who to blame. From the pastors to imams to the government and every authority. First why would anybody give birth to children u cannot cater for. Most of the time this children become vagabonds and a menace to the society. That's not to say the children of the rich are exempted. The fewer low lifers we have the better for us all

Many of these campus girls take care of their parents and siblings. There were many of them back then in school. They also live large but when u check their background, it's nothing to write home about. The rot in the government has made life difficult for an ordinary youth. I do not believe Nigerians are lazy. Given a better environment, we would reach great heights. No avenue for us to work and school and most of the time the money our parents give us cannot carry us for a month. You end up living like a pauper in school. Except u are contented and if u can manage. The list goes on and on. But we cannot scratch the surface wiv out digging deep. Parents should train their children well. If u can afford to get ur child a good phone do it so no man can deceive her that he can buy it. Give ur child money to shop sometimes so she doesn't feel left out among her pairs. All this are possible if each family manage the population of this country by weighing ur income and the amount of kids to have.

For the person that wrote girls should join church when they enter school. cheesy. Lmao. Sorry but the church cannot save a child that is not contented......

A.shawo is now normal in our institution, in my school then, every friday you will see a bus in front of girls hostel to pick girls for politicians, business men,et al and before monday they are back.Since education is a joke in nation this days, 65 percenty of girls are in school cos of freedom to do what they like unlike when they are at home.
Who is to blame?
Nigeria leaders who have chosen to make life unbearable for her masses cos of greed.
They use the boys. As thugs, so you guys shouldn't expect cultism to end yet in our higher institution and they use the girls to catch fun like inviting them for party were they useless them, they use them for rituals and so on.

There cant be "buyers" if there is no "sellers". Those old men with flashy cars and protruded tommies shld be taught how to keep thier DiCKs one place. These old men are so mean to destroy these girls for us who are supposed to be our future wives. Imagine say all these evil men been don use a girl before u finally come marry her ..na error be that naw. These men shld be get rid of thier manhoods.

80% of pings from BBM are from phones bought through sex for money.
So imagine the economic loss from prohibiting such trade
.
Finally, a brother comment
iluvpomo: To be quite frank, fresh University punny is very sweet .... no ask me how i know, just take it as fact cool
.
And seriously we are decent compared to what our brothers abroad are seeing every day
duni04: OP needs to travel out and see how far girls in US or UK have taken this thing. Nigerian uni girls are small girls compared to those ones. The point is as long as there are unhappy married men or single unmarried men with money, there will always be girls to meet whatever needs they have. Its not a Nigerian thing, its everywhere.

hod898: I always tell girls, when you enter the university, join a good fellowship gathering, be prayerful and God will provide. Face the hard part now. The more devastating the storm, the sooner it will be over. I once knew a lady who came from a poor family. Very intelligent, diligent and God-fearing, she trusted God and never participated in all these 'I didn't have a choice' immoralities. She graduated with good grades and by God's grace, was employed in a company. She told me her starting salary was about N6000 per day (180,000) per month. During her school years she survived by using her brain. She tutored high school students, she had a choice. Today, she has a marriage proposal from a decent but wealthy man. It's not about the government but the way you govern your life.

never judge a person just coz ur own sin is different...and as for ur story ..sounds like a fairy tale...face reality dude

The rate of runs girls in our tertiary institution is just TOO MUCH.....hardly for u to see female student dating a single man, all in the name of singles guys don't know how to take care of girls, na married man sure pass, and after destroying their P***Y, they will now go back to church praying for that single man they once rejected to come and marry them so the person will be enjoying nothing in their body....my advice to all girls is this, even thou u want to do runs, try keep small thing for ur future husband, don't allow those married men to use everything before u marry, if not ur future husband will get tired of u easily o.

Na good girls suffer pass. Tsheeeeeeeew. Like I said earlier. Everything is wrong in this country. All the runs girls in my class have good jobs now. Many of them are married. Through this runs they were able to take care of themselves., use the best creams, wear the best clothes. Hangout in nice spots where they can meet bachelors, Isn't it obvious that they will attract guys quicker than the girl next door who relies on her dad just to even buy sanitary pad. Life is not fair. That story he gave is 1 in a million.

Female Students that indulge in sex trade simply do it cos of GREED and TO BE SEEN AS CLASSY/POSH...Suprisingly some of them are from decent families with stable financial status..Is just peer pressure and lack of contentment...Most of these ladies continue the trade after skuul even as working class babes dating the CEOs of companies and Politicians...I just pity the Guys they will eventually lure into marriage cos such habit and lifestyle is very hard to stop

Rubbish! Women were known to hold themselves on high esteem irrespective of any amount of money flashed. They've no tangible excuse for indulging into prostitution other than "greed".

So a gal, who her parents who only pay her fees , but dont care about upkeep, indulging in it is a bad thing, i feel it is a necessary evil
Vivipop: "I was molested by five men when I was just 16 years old and in my final year in secondary school, so it affected me psychologically and the incident contributed to what I am today. I am also the first child of my parent's eight children. I need to struggle and sponsor myself in school and also help sponsor my younger ones because my parents are poor. So I do this to survive". Shallow excuses, I think Greed is the root cause of campus prostitution.
Re: Campus Prostitution: A Growing Concern In Nigeria by Arsenate(m): 5:16pm On Aug 03, 2014
basically it's a cycle. a young girl who feels a young bachelor is uncaring simply because he's broke will one day, when she is an old cargo and not wanted again, settle for that young man. by then the man would have made some dough and will have the tendency to catch up and enjoy what he was denied initially. I usually don't have pity for women whose husbands are cheats these days. it's karma catching up with them.
the society is completely decayed and I just feel there is no hope.

Responder, either you're in denial or you're a participant.

Such things also happen on college campuses, here in the U.S too...in addition to stripping (dancing for money in men's clubs).

The difference is the practice of campus immortality is not as overt, as it is in Nigeria.

Campus monitors are pretty much vigilant about spotting and preventing any shady business.

In addition, the practice is not so widespread here, since there are so many resources students can access, if they are in need...unlike Nigeria.

Sir, something about me is that i don't care what female these days do with their vjayjay, there is sex everywhere and some girls can have sex for vodka or even pizza. Nigerian girls this days are lazy and mostly the ones in the university. But the good thing about it is that most of them are being used for ritual and the bad thing is that, they are all dumb because they don't learn from others and still continue in that part of life

Imagine most of them always claiming they were raped when they were 12, 14 or 16yrs old. None has ever said she was 13 or 15yrs when the said happened. Always either 12, 14 or 16yrs old (range of even nos.) and that exposure is having psychological effect on thier current lives. Who raped them and how does it affect thier today's life? Instead of accepting greed is the primary cause, they keep saying rubbish. Smh!

Meanwhile, the same girls (commercial sex workers) we are talking abt here are the ones viewing and commenting on this same thread. Smh.
