Is the song; 'Love me, Leave me' by Kat Deluna? I was listening to that over the holidays, though to be honest what I wanted was quite the contrare. I would have very much wanted the person I loved not to leave me.

The songs about not being messed about, about being given a final answer, and moving on, not dragging things along, it's also about those exs who wonder back into your life, once they notice you're finally recovering from their damage.

What if he/she really loves you, and ordinarily you won’t love someone like that. Could be because of tribe, looks, religion and any other thing. But if you had a choice, you won’t love him/her.

But he/she happens to be the nicest person you’ve ever met, and worships the ground you step on. He/she happens to be the one person you know could die for you?? What will you do??

Those people are not in love. They're in lust.
There is no Love that can sustain any obstacle without the foundation of friendship.

If one does not know the person before falling in "love" with the person, then how does he/she stick with the person when there's no more spark b/w them.

Sex does NOT build love! Friendship does. Am I wrong?

Ruby, it seems we are agreed on this. I'm not saying friendship isn't a factor.
What i'm saying is dat it doesn't have to be dat way all the time. Love builds with time with or without emotions.

Like gamine said, there should be a foundation. I see that foundation as interest, which could come based on anything and not just emotions. From that point then u can start knowing the person and all. From knowing the person u can then commit urself.

But note that we have those that didn't have that priviledge. Not all our parents dated. Some of them didn't even have a choice as to who they will marry and they still turned out to have a wonderful relationship.

Thank you brother.
In another words, love is not a decision. It comes and leaves on its own timing.
Even when one chooses not to love that person, one cannot NOT love him.
Love is like time, we do not control it.

Worth giving what a try?
You cannot convince yourself to love anyone, or hope that in time, you will love him/her.
Precious times are being wasted. Life is precious, it'd be nice if we all get one.


It is when we base most our thinking on emotions that we think this way. I don't know if u are married o. But if u are, will u wake up one day and divorce your husband just because u 'feel' u don't love him anymore?

Have we for once considered the sacrifices our parents made esp. our mothers to keep the home front together?

Despite her husband's shortcomings, she still sticks by him because of her children. She stays, supports him, cook for him, devoted to him and what have you.

The world is evolving and it's like we do not value true love any longer.  sad

The fact is most people in Nigeria go into a relationship as they go shopping.
They are in it for their selfish interests.
They are having a relationship more out of lust than love.

Most of them claiming to be in love are actually in lust.

It is good to spell it out from the word GO.
