heykims: Abeg e be like say ds our coach get one kolomental, see as e dey rule for ground not even minding d camera coverage.

He have to do that, do u know why? Ok wait let me tell u. Peter dedevdo is good coach but he has a fortune of getting to quarter final stage in ( 2009 fifa u_17 female in trinadad and tobago, 2011 fifa u_17 female in azerbaijan), but he has a curse of not reaching the semi's stage. So he have to act like a crazy coach to his players in order for the curse not to repeat itself on him again in this tournament.

That was Coach Dedevbo's 1st quarter final triumph after leading the u-17s to quarter final losses in 2009 and 2011

The Falconets tried. Sunday has an eagle eye. That is how a substitute changes the rhythm of a match. In between..... the coach over-rolled ooo. Haba coach..... just know that hard work pays not rolling...

Peter Dedevbo, Nigeria coach
I took this team when they were U17s in 2010, and
at the U-17 World Cups in 2010 and 2012, we lost
in the quarter-finals. Now that jinx is broken.
We've made it to the semi-finals. I was not scared
before the game because I know that, with the
quality we have, this team would qualify. Scoring
early changes the character of the team, it’s very
good for the confidence, and then you play better
and in a more relaxed way. I’m very satisfied with
what we achieved, and now I'm ready for North
Korea. I know their team, I know their coach, and I
want to beat them at all costs.
Aaron McFarland, New Zealand coach
It was a big challenge because we don’t often get
to play against teams with the quality Nigeria
possess. We knew we were the underdogs, and
with the pace and the physicality they brought to
the game, we couldn’t compete at their level.
Conceding an early goal was a turning point as it
kills the team's confidence. But we showed a
different attitude in the second half, and we had
nothing to lose. Reaching the quarter-finals is a
massive achievement, it’s a first for New Zealand
at a Women's World Cup, and this defeat doesn’t
take anything away from what this team has
achieved.

My network was bad, so I was not able to post!
I was so proud of those girls, especially Oshola! We have many technical players who have ball-sense, and they are more confident now! If this confidence grows, no country will be able to beat them!

Havilah93: The falconets came out top of group C and will meet group D runners-up New Zealand on Sunday night.

England opened in perfect fashion scoring in just the fifth minute as Hannah Blundell played a clever through ball for Nikita Parris, who took one touch and then clipped a shot past the advancing Nigeria goalkeeper Ibijoke Sangonuga from the edge of the box.

The African champions drew level in an even contest four minutes before the interval after Loveth Ayila beat her marker with a skilful drag-back and shot powerfully from 25 yards. Goalkeeper Lizzie Durack got a hand to it but was unable to prevent the ball hitting the back of the net.

The second half was a tale of two penalties, with England’s Bethany Mead firstly missing after Parris was adjudged to have been fouled by Sangonuga. Within minutes at the other end, Asisat Oshoala was brought down after dribbling into the penalty area and stepped up to coolly side-foot the resultant spot-kick into the bottom-right corner.

New Zealand progressed after defeating Costa Rican 3-0 in the last group game.

OK.
