How I think this is a nice idea but at the same time, non of their business.



Well I may be wrong on the second thought.

The Federal Government planned to remove subsidy on petrol. Nigerians complained that the cost of transport will be too high. The government then met with many groups that were complaining. One of the groups was the NURTW.

The NURTW complained about the cost of buying buses and extortion by policemen and local government officials. The Federal Government then offered to buy buses or subsidise the cost of buses (through Sure-P). The government also banned the collection of tolls on federal highways and set up a task force (through Sure-P) to enforce this ban.

The Inspector General of Police also banned police roadblocks.


Members of the task force have been undergoing training and I think they are now ready to enforce the ban.

I have been screming for this for years. Those assholes have made billions on this illegal toll. I have had cause to on 2 occassions mobilize the Police to go salvage my Trucks on the highway. Especially the Rivers and Benin Highways.

This communique should be sent out to all truckers so they can strat running down the stubborn ones cos those people operate like armed robbers.

Is the oil not part of the reason you people resorted to Boko Haram? The discovery of the oil made your leaders to disregard farming. No more groundnut pyramids. All the period of Northern dominance of politics, they didnt surface. They are now producing rice in the south. A time will come when you people will dat that food that you think is sustaining. As big as the north is together with dominating Nigerian polity, they contribute just 6% to the national economy. Yet they are sharing the same percentage with most southern states.
